Zaslav touted the Trinity last year but Gunn has not followed through. A WW film on the backburner, B&B not happening until 2026 and Superman happening but mostly being used to launch the DCU and other characters. People are not clamoring for another Superman film. batman should have been first and later introduce Superman. I suspect the focus of the DCU will be Supergirl, in terms of a female protagonist, and not WW. Plus, Gunn would not outright deny the rumor that Superman will not play a big part in the DCU while Supergirl has been described as the key to the DCU. I suspect Superman won't get follow-up films and WW will be lucky to get a film in Chapter 2 of the DCU vut instead get cameos in other character's films to launch those franchises. Same possibly for WW,

Agreed that I enjoyed Gal in the role of Diana and while it would've been nice to see her pop up again, it makes sense that there'd be a recast. But by the same token, I and I'm sure many others maintain that if there's going to be a reboot, it should be a clean sweep without any DCEU actors returning to play the same role, with the possible exception of Xolo Maridueña as Blue Beetle since that film doesn't really fit into any continuity.

WW is the third most lucrative DC film franchise after Batman and Joker, WW made 200 million plus while MOS made 40 million. Plus, WW cost 50 million less to make. The DCU should have started with a Batman film - no one is clamoring for another Superman film - and later introduce Superman. WW should have been the 2nd film. WW84 failed because Jenkins was given total control and it released (limited) during Covid. Gadot is the most beloved of the DCEU actors - yes she isn't the best actor, but neither is Cavill.

My guess is they might try an introduce Wonder Woman the same way they did In the 80s after they did their first reboot. She appeared in the first major crossover of the heroes in the event called legends. I'm more surprised that after all this time, there's still people wondering if Gal is going to come back in the role. I loved Gal as WW but I wasn't expecting her back and have long moved on from the possibility of it happening. Think of how awkward it would feel with new actors as Superman & Batman but Gal still playing Wonder Woman alongside them in the DCU even if it's a different version? The moment I heard "reboot", I was expecting a clean slate (despite Viola Davis returning as Waller). Even continuing Gal's Wonder Woman under the Elseworlds label would feel strange because then some people would be wondering why they chose to continue that instead of doing ZSJL 2 & 3. I'm not expecting a live action WW until after this Paradise Lost series happens whenever that is.
