So...here I am, minding my own business when I see this story. Wasn't going to watch it but, I did. I, a 71 year old woman, am sitting here crying over an imaginary beast and a little girl. This was so well done! The inflection is perfect, the words were all said correctly and the story flowed like fine wine with zero repeats!! BRAVO!! I subbed, this was great. Just had a litter of kittens a few weeks ago (surprise, I know) I think with 4 boys, Thorn shall live on, on Earth a while longer.

Well what do you think of a continuation.. How about Thorn's child? Lily's own daughters as teenagers on their way to see mom at the statue unveiling get attacked by those warlords that had owned Thorn decided to take revenge for losing their power within their ranks due to Thorn's protection of Lily. They had started torturing his children a female & male who had known of their sires act of protection of a human child. They had roared in sadness & anger when they felt their psychic link with their father severed suddenly. He had sent out all of what had transpired since his waking. As an ancient one of their race he had been used for breeding & unknown to the Warlords their species had a psychic link to their offspring they kept secret from their Masters so this could not be used against them....

FINALLY!!! An excellent AI story that wasn't riddled with plot errors, mispronunciations and repeating the same things over and over. I was even rooting for Thorn. Lilly's speech to the council reminded me of Rocky's after he beat Drago.

It is one of the better AI stories I have come across. Little repetition, little weird or awkward sentences, and that for the most part, flow and make sense. It is not perfect, and things like her intelligence as a kid and the way the military attempted save thorn and the lesson with how much it changed things for the galaxy don't make sense but are entirely possible. Side note: this plot sounds familiar and like a kids' book with too much idealism as kids' books tend to have.

Love, friendship, honor, and enduring bonds last long after our physical bodys give way. What if as Thorn were dying, he chose to NOT kill the remaining soldiers who were killing him. Or better yet, what if Thorn was given the chance for deathly vengeance against the Overlords who used him. What if these Overlords were trapped, frozen in fear as the dying Thorn approached them pressing his massive head against the Overlord's bodies. What if Thorn waited, then moved back choosing NOT to kill the Overlords to die before them ? What if Thorn's biology was similar to that of THE DRAC fighter pilot Jeriba Shigan in the movie ENEMY MINE whose body held his child Jammis ? What if within his dying body, Thorn bore a new Life like a Jammis ? What if Thorn's dead body with the new Life trapoedbwithin was visited by Lilly just prior to Thorn being placed on a Warrior Hero's Funeral Pyre ? What if Lilly sensed the presence of Thorn's offspring and enlisted the help she needed to save Thorn's offspring? What if the bond shared by Thorn and Lilly passed to His offspring? What if. .. .. ..

Well honestly children who've dealt with war, abuse, death, etc can even at 6 have this adult-like behavior. I personally had a very adult like behavior as did a few other kids I've met throughout my years My own kids though smart & all didn't have that adult like thinking due my kids not having to survive & grow up in a terrible environment. Unfortunately if you have never talked to kids raised around this type of environment you wouldn't be surprised by her intelligence in her environment. Also not very many novels talk about bathroom breaks or eating often unless it is a part of the plotline so that's not surprising at all. It was an enjoyable story with a good amount of description of the scene with decent detail
