Yes, Pastor, I am new to Calvary Chapel. The Lord brought me to CC in Chadds Ford, PA. And the thing I appreciate most about CC is the dedication to teaching the Word chapter by chapter, verse by verse. The Word is not an after thought, but is front and center. Praise God. And then when I was looking for sound doctrine in Bible study, He brought me to your videos. I cherish them. Interesting that he brought me to a CC KZbin channel. I call that confirmation!

I too love CCOntario's style of "teaching" not just "touching" on the verses of the Bible. I've never read the entire Bible, but certainly plan to with the help of this KZbin channel. Thank you for this channel!

The more I listen to CCOntario's studies the more I've become dissatisfied with the topical approach 😭. But this method is so prevalent in churches today that its hard to find anything else in my home country (Jamaica). I wish pastors just taught scripture. Helps believers to build up their faith and encourages them to study scripture for themselves.

Amen!! What encouragement to stick to the Word. It is so simple, so straightforward, but we want to make it so much harder and muddle it all up because of our pride. Thank you for teaching verse by verse, chapter by chapter!! The first time I came to CCOntario, on a Wednesday night, you explained why you teach through the Word, and it was the biggest breath of fresh air to me!

For me too, it simplifies the message by just clearly explaining it after research and prayer. It's too easy to go off into other areas with topics, including topical questions.

Bless you brother sound teaching as usual. However though s a teacher of the word myself, preaching / exhorting on a topic when handled properly and scriptures kept in context can be good to bring help and encouragement. Of course I strongly agree that teaching through the word should be the primary approach but I wouldn't totally throw out preaching / exhorting in fact it's a good starting point for believers in learning how to minister the word. Also Preaching the simple gospel of salvation in evangelism works well once handled properly and has it's place. So I wouldn't throw the baby out with the bathwater. I started out as an evangelist and the Lord moved me into now teaching but occasionally a request comes for me to preach at an evangelistic meeting and all do is simply preach the gospel.

Pastor Paul, I love your teaching ministry. I listen to you all the time and use your teaching to help mine. You mentioned the benefits of expository over topical preaching. Don’t forget that Jesus, Paul, Peter and James used relevant topical teaching only so obviously there is a place for it. Blessings brother.

Galatians has really been helpful for me. I been a Christian only 5 years now and been struggling alot because of my own self effort. My problem i been too prideful and I didn't won't to see who I really was on the inside . I was afraid to open up and let God expose the hidden areas of sin in my heart and let it come to surface! . It kept came me from bearing fruit in my life and growing closer to the Lord. I wasn't letting the bible read me i was just reading . I'm finally at a place where I'm actually letting the bible read me and not just reading it . I'm opening my heart to the lord and allowing him speak and tell me the truth about my self and what I need to repent from, and what needs to be change in my life so my faith and confidence will grow stronger in the lord. My eyes can see and my ears can hear now since surrenderd and started to really obey the lord. He's been speaking and reveling more to me when reading letting my heart open up to him! My prayer life is getting better too ..He truly does love us and knows what's best. So Thankful for his love , mercy and grace. .

Just like the JW, the Adventists twist scripture. The book of Galatians is great, as this teaching. When encouraging an Adventist friend who got pulled away from the truth to read Galatians and Hebrews, his answer was he has read them and love them. He does not see through the veil of deception. I continue to be burdened for his soul and pray fervently for him. Unfortunately, many churches do not see the SDAs are not Christians. They continue to persuade their heresy in our churches. And yes, they are working their lies amongst the believers, the enemy is very crafty. I am thankful the Spirit kept me from being deceived. Only God could have done that!

I prefer the King James only because after comparing and some "some" do leave out a few verses completely.

But King James himself has a pretty nasty history...
