Yep, the A53 5G doesn't look like a good deal compared to the A52s 5G. Samsung shot itself in the foot by removing the headphone jack and the charger in the box, not a good move at all.

I got the s10+ exynos and I'm thinking to upgrade. All I care about a phone is the main camera sensor for photography. I don't really care about video recording capabilities. samsung recently fixed the 4k30 video stabilization with the 4.1 one ui update on the a52/a52s 5G, they both used to be very shaky no eis at all but now its a lot better, i actually switched to a s20 fe for that, samsung tend to focus a lot more on their higher end phones.. thats why im never buying a midrange again, buying old flagships is a lot more worth it

Hi there. After the latest updates recently I wanna ask which phone does photos (skin tones, sky, cars, pavement, food, trees) closer to in real life? On the rear main camera which offers less of that noise or over sharpening when zoomed in or cropped? Which one offer a better selfie photos in general? (skin tones, HDR, stabilization) Cheers.

To be honest right now I can't tell. I've been using the A53 5G as my main phone for a little over a week now and battery life is solid in general especially without the 120Hz on. I have only used the A52s 5G for my recent camera comparisons.

Unfortunately, both of these devices have been subjected to intentional software downgrade, i mean that with both of SoC's such as Exynos 1280 and Snapdragon 778G it's entirely possible to support EIS in 4k30fps and even 4k60fps video modes. Samsung just want us to buy more expensive models.

@@darkace0387 Actually, when my A52s 5G arrived it came with Android 11 with OneUI 3.1 I tested the 4K video recording before updating it to Android 12 and OneUI 4.1 and it was already stable. The weird thing is that it's not stable on the A53 5G with the same update out of the box. However, I've seen some videos of the A73 5G and it looks very stable too.

I still think, the EIS kicks in when switching to 4k 30fps, as there is a clear crop in the video and the jerks gives you the impression of EIS rather than OIS which is apparent on FHD 30fps mode. You might have very stable hands

@@Soto-Tech2020 Creo que el a53, al final de la carrera sera el mejor. Ya que samsung pondra importancia en sus procesadores, esos tipos no son unos tontos, lo llevaran al limite. El a53 tiene 4 años mas de actualizaciones. Los mejores proceaadores SD son los de gama alta. Si bien el a52 tiene un poco mas de rendimiendo... en el uso diario el usuario ni lo nota. Ademas el a53 tiene mejor reventa.
