Samsung Galaxy A52s vs Samsung Galaxy A53. In this video, I compared the Samsung Galaxy A52s with the Samsung Galaxy A53. For the price, the Samsung Galaxy A52s is the cheaper smartphone and it comes with more accessories than the Samsung Galaxy A53. For the Build quality and external features, both smartphones are identical. For the external features, the Samsung Galaxy A52s has the 3.5mm audio jack that is missing on the Samsung Galaxy A53. Moving to the display, the Samsung Galaxy A52s and A53 have the same super AMOLED panel. Both have a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. For performance, the Samsung Galaxy A52s is the faster smartphone. Moving to the camera department, the Samsung Galaxy A53 takes better pictures and videos. For the battery, the Samsung Galaxy A53 comes with a 5,000 mAh battery while the Samsung Galaxy A52s has a 4,500 mAH battery and Both are capable of charging at 25 watts.
In this video, I compared the cameras of the Samsung Galaxy A52s with the Samsung Galaxy A53. I played games like PUBG, call of duty, and genshin impact to know which smartphone is the better gaming smartphone.

One consideration is that both smartphones have 5 years of security updates from their launch date. Unfortunately because the A52 5G is now one year old, it will only get 4 more years of security updates. The inventor of the ARM processor, which is in all smartphones, is Sophie Wilson. She was asked at a lecture whether it was worth upgrading your phone to make an already fast processor even faster. She said no. You will never use all of that performance. Instead she recommended that people only ever upgrade their phone when it is so old that you no longer get security updates.

@@jellyjellies2573 yes. security updates happen only for as long as they pay software engineers to make them to that phone model’s source code. For example I bought a cheap brand new pixel X-L three years ago which only received security updates for 6 more months because that model had already had 2.5 years security updates when I bought it.

@@Dragon_Brand a number of bugs recently fixed in both iOS and Android relate to public WiFi. It is possible to log information typed into your phone over public WiFi as a result of these bugs. In the past someone managed to log in using my Facebook password twice which I had typed using my 3g connection. Both times I needed to change my password. If I had been doing something more important such as Amazon ordering then someone could have used my Amazon account to place an order themselves

Love this vid thanks. It has made me realize that 'Dynamic Range' nowadays is not necessarily even a thing, as this video shows it's more about the richness of color and depth than greater contrast, in my opinion. At timeline 6.39 'cameras' (love a timeline BTW) this really shows and I personally prefer the A53 for this. Having said that, what is G cam that levels the playing field? And how do phones without a phone jack compensate for not being able to plug in a mini deadcat mic for videoing? Thanks so much x

The exynos 1280 is a way worse in gaming than snapdragon 778g so if u a gamer I don't recommend it

@@Bischarch yup the exynos 1280 good in numbers but worse in real test because the bad optimization because the games developers need to optimization the chipset , also the power consumption is bad that make the phone overheat, and for gaming for example in genshin impact after 10 minutes at lowest setting the exynos 1280 frame per seconds reach 17fps its horrible with less of exynos 1280 numbers the snapdragon 720g did a way better that exynos 1280 in that game

Great video mate I have a Samsung s10 lite and love it easily the best phone I've owned but no 5g support. Is 5g really worth it apart from data speed are there any other benefits? We do have good 5g network where I live aswell

That's all you get with 5G smartphones, fast data speed. The downside is on 5G, the smartphone battery will drain faster so if fast data speed is not a priority, I'll stick with the S10 lite.

Other than gaming, samsung a53 is an amazing phone, and a53 is new, and samsung said it and its chip will get many updates and improvments, i have it, and i gotta say, its an amazing phone. The performance on a52s is a bit better because its 1 year older than a53, so it definitely got many updates and improvments, but a53 will get them but better ones for sure according to samsung

For anyone watching now: the a52s got an update for ONEUI 4.1, it now has RAM going up to 6GB as well and the camera software has also been updated. Now the camera of the a52s doesn't fall behind the a53. Really don't understand the move samsung did on this one. The a53 phone is more expensive and after the update on the a52s, it is equal or worse than the a52s in every aspect

@@Arbiter691 The a53 has a slower cpu and feels more sluggish than the a52s, also, after ONEUI 4.1, photos on the a52s look better (probably due to the processor). Sure, the a53 will have support for longer, but the decision between one or the other isn't that straight forward, at all... And it gets worse when you consider that the a53 is about 60-80€ more expensive than the a52s, which, for a budget mid-range phone, is quite significant

@@Arbiter691 @omid it didn't handle android 12 very well on the first iteration of ONEUI 4.0. Now it handles great! Better than the a53. I'm talking by experience, because I've used my friend's brand new a53 and it struggles to keep the 120hz in simple tasks like scrolling on twitter... About the camera, I'm sure you haven't found a video of the a52s camera photos after ONEUI 4.1, because I've tried really hard to find one and I didn't succeed, again, what I say is by comparison with the one my friend has. Yes the a53 battery lasts longer, but if you are not a mobile gamer (which I am not) the a52s lasts the entire day. Now, I think you just bought an a53 and now are desperately trying to justify the extra 60-80€ you spent. The support and battery are good enough reasons for some people, so accept it and stop trying to fool yourself...

I don't play games on my phone and for me long term support and better battery matters. So A53 will be my pick because it is coming with Android 12 and it will support upto Android 16 and 5 years of support. A52s is coming with Android 11 and it will support upto Android 15. Also its battery is 500 mAH that is more than A52s.

Hi, I have a question about something I haven't found an answer to anywhere, but you must have experience with it. Samsung A52s phone I looked at myself, if I know well the display is at the bottom of the fingerprint reader. Fingerprint readers on phones like this can't be used with glass foil? What kind of foil do you recommend for it? I read on one of the glass foil sides that it does not bend over the rounded edge side of the phone ... does this phone have such a side? You can use the glass screen protector but when you do, you will need to re-register your fingerprint. It is only going to be accurate if you the surface is clean enough.

The A52s and A53 have flat screen and is easier to put on screen protector than curved screen. I am using A52 with PET matte screen protector and have no issue with the fingerprint sensor

No, the whole reason they bought out an S series for the a52 was due to the chip shortage for that model. So they had to rebrand with a new device but they'll bring a better processor and some improvements. I doubt it'll happen again.
