The old Buds2 Pro tend to fall out of my ears when I'm exercising, or even when not, over time. I'm always concerned that they will fall out of my ears.

Hey! Thanks a lot for the feedback, it’s quite important to understand the audience’s perceptions like this. For the record; I’m running an A/B test with KZbin on this video, and actually have 2 thumbnails running; the one you saw, and another with my face in it. So far the one with my face is at 50.6% and the one without is at 49.4%, so slightly better with face indeed. But letting the experiment run for some more time to hopefully ascertain some statistical significance. Thanks again for the feedback!

I saw a comparison on another channel in regards to the mic quality and it's a fairly similar result, I think the buds 3 pro are trying to filter out as many sounds as they can including the echo in the background which maybe why the hissing it more present. The airpods seem to gain that higher clarity by accepting the echo as part of the experience so it's not having to work on getting rid of it.

thanks for the review. i got both the pros and the regular buds 3 for $100 each with samsung's great discounts. gonna test both & see which i wanna keep, but i'm definitely leaning towards the pros since i like my airpods pro 2 a lot. just wish they played better with android. samsung buds are better with iOS and mac vs. airpods with android/windows (i actually HATE the seamless switching feature and always turn it off. the samsung buds switch super quick, like 1 to 2 seconds, while my airpods take like 10 seconds to quick switch to my samsung phone)

I am Samsung and windows user. However I use and thanks to your video will continue to use the apple airpods pro 2nd generation. Even the first generation is way better than the new buds3 pro. I can't get it why, is it really so hard to make earbuds with no hissing when ANC is on and nothing is playing and with decent call quality... Very disappointed.

I think if you try the white case it feels more premium..atleast that's what I got on the pre order..I guess samsung wants to push the metallic style..but the buds 3 in white..OH MAN!!!!..Case diffinetly feels premium to go along with sound. I know they pushed back the orders due to some quality issues..but no complaints here..yes they are the airpods pro for samsung..hands down

I got the buds 3 in the white..the case feels just as premium as the airpod pros..I think samsung is pushing the metallic color more..but sound and feel is on point with the airpod pros if u have a samsung..I was lucky to get my pair before they stopped the pre order..but no complaints here..traded in my pro 2s and won't look back😂😂

I can definitely still hear compression artifacts coming from the airpods every time you switch to it. That very chirpy noise overlaid onto yoyr voice, very reminiscent of low bitrate quality of compressed mp3s from yesteryear. It doesn't take a lot of concentration to hear it, to me it's very obvious. The exact kind of compression artifacts that i have grown to hate compared to their complete absence in flacs. I cannot believe you can't hear it. I don't know what kind of sorcery samsung did, but none of that ugly compression sound exists the entire time you were testing the buds 3 pros in every scenario. The airpods though, every scenario you test them, i can hear it. The airpods definitely claim the "robotic" sounding" trophy.

When we talk about ANC, that’s the active noise cancelation (when the buds are in your ear and you’re listening to music, how well do they cancel out background sounds), not the microphone voice isolation capabilities when in a call.

When we talk about ANC (Active Noise Canceling), that is not the microphone noise cancellation for calls that other parties hear. It’s what you hear when listening to music, the ability of the buds to cancel out background sounds for your ears.

That's the phone I had access to. But regardless; not everyone will have the latest flagship Samsung, so a lot would not get the high-res audio (one can also argue how big a difference that would make). Only thing I then missed is 360 audio. But I would still say most of my review and experience is still relevant...

It has Bluetooth 5.0, and the buds you have is Bluetooth 5.4. So definitely its going to have an impact on the quality. Your excuse doesn't count

@i103772 All good, just didn’t appreciate the underlying tone and hostility. But now that I understand where you’re coming from; the audio calls were indeed on BT 5.3 (and not on the S9), but also the intention was not to record the best audio (which yes could be achieved with a newer Samsung and HD 360 audio from the mics), but to simulate what one would sound like in an actual phone call. Not sure what the other channels did or how they tested, but thanks for the tip-will try investigate more and see if I might have done anything wrong in the way I recorded those call tests. Cheers.
