Another multiplayer session, testing a bunch of new mechanics. This gameplay footage is recorded from the perspective of a client, so this footage is indicative of the networked experience of the game.
Including:
- Many updates to my GrudgeMatch map 'Facility'.
- Various functions and features coded in C++ for better runtime efficiency.
- The Cryo Cannon, with it's ability to freeze surfaces like water and lava.
- The Platformer, with it's 'skate' mechanic, allowing players to cover large distances and hover over obstacles.
- Added a bunch of blood and gore cosmetics.
- Custom crosshairs for every weapon.
- Added a huge amount of netcode optimization for a better game-play experience.
As always, a big thank you goes out to Necto Ulin for allowing me to use his music as a temp placeholder until I write and compose my own. The first song in the video is one of mine. The music in the gameplay belongs to Necto Ulin.
