Another multiplayer session, testing a bunch of new mechanics. This gameplay footage is recorded from the perspective of a client, so this footage is indicative of the networked experience of the game.
Including:
- Many updates to my GrudgeMatch map 'Facility'.
- Various functions and features coded in C++ for better runtime efficiency.
- The Cryo Cannon, with it's ability to freeze surfaces like water and lava.
- The Platformer, with it's 'skate' mechanic, allowing players to cover large distances and hover over obstacles.
- Added a bunch of blood and gore cosmetics.
- Custom crosshairs for every weapon.
- Added a huge amount of netcode optimization for a better game-play experience.
As always, a big thank you goes out to Necto Ulin for allowing me to use his music as a temp placeholder until I write and compose my own. The first song in the video is one of mine. The music in the gameplay belongs to Necto Ulin.

Hey man, long time UT player, like I played back in the days of CRTs and Nvidia Riva GPUs..... I'd like to help. From what I'm seeing, the game is to slow. As in your movement is slower than what it should be. Looks like when you put game speed around 80 percent in UT99. AndI couldn't tell if there was bunny hopping correctly implemented. Also is there dodging. UT has dodging and advanced movement at an extreme level. I couldn't tell if this had that. Other than that. This looks pretty cool man. Very impressive for one person. Anyways, good luck man. keep it up. Look forward to playing the alpha or whatever sooner than later. Cheers.

THE CRYO WATER TRAP IS GENIUS what the actualy fuck great job man!! definitely will wish-list on steam if you put it out! my only request would be movement speed seems a tiny bit slow but only because I'm coming from quake, phenomenal work

Thanks for the kind feedback, I appreciate it! It's good to know that others would play something like this. And yes, my movement is definitely slower than quake. The good thing about making a game yourself is that you get to decide on all these things, and I definitely haven't finalized anything yet. For what it's worth, I'm currently working on a power-up system which will feature heavily in the game. Basically, power-up tokens are collected during play, which can be 'spent' on various power-ups which last for a short period of time. One of these power-ups is super speed, which increases player movement speed, as well as switching weapons, firing etc.

Thank you for the kind words! I might release it some day, when I have a first version of all my weapons done and at least one polished map. There's so much to get through to make it a complete package, but it would be great to put it out there to see to see how it goes for other people.
