You now there are synthetic opals that glass marble makers use in their galaxy marbles. You should try that! I wonder what these would look like in a sun shape?

I would love to see synthetic opals in these, but I'm not sure if they'd be compatible. I do know a couple marble makers, I'll ask them about compatibility.

What kiln are you using? I am new and anxious to start, thank you 😊

All my kilns are paragons. 2 are fiber (14" and 16", use household current) and the smallest, a vitrigraph kiln, is brick. You can use whatever brand of kiln you can get your hands on, but I highly recommend anything with a digital controller. It will keep you from tearing your hair out babysitting the entire fusing cycle.

What is your firing schedule for the hearts?

I use a standard full fuse for my hearts. This is all in degrees Fahreinheit and minutes: 400 - 1225 - 60 400 - 1485 - 10 AFAP - 900 -120 100 - 700 - 1 OFF
