I need to get the right type of sponge I think...usually when I try this I make a mighty mess 😂🌸

A plain dishwashing sponge is also suitable. :D

Beautiful! Thank you for sharing! I have a set of acrylic paints with like 8 different blues in it. What do you recommend?
@ArterHungary Жыл бұрын
You are welcome! :) I recommend Cobalt Blue, Cerulean Blue and Ultramarine Blue, which I use frequently.

So are you dabbing the sponge and pulling color towards the darker color
@ArterHungary2 жыл бұрын
Yes, but I don't rub, I keep touching it again and again with small movements.

Is the sponge damp
@ArterHungary2 жыл бұрын
it is dry at the beginning and then when I wash out the excess paint from it, then I squeeze the water out of it as much as possible. So it's not completely dry, but almost.

I really like this. However, I think you're wasting an awful lot of paint here by using so many layers of blue and white. I'd also be using a cloud brush to blur the edges instead of a sponge I think. I might try to paint this tutorial idea with less layers and a cloud brush instead, see how it turns out. Paint is so expensive these days that I cannot bear to waste it with unnecessary layers.

What you say is perfectly understandable. You don't have to follow everything you see in the video, it can work in other ways. However, you can achieve interesting textures with lots of paint and sponges, as hopefully you can see in the video. Good luck with your version, let me know how it turns out!

Waste paint much?
@ArterHungary Жыл бұрын
I don’t think so. This technique may require more paint.
