I use my Note 3 as a laptop replacement - and it works quite well at that. I'm curious if the improved Note 4 will offer enough features, and increased functionality over and above the Note 3 to make an upgrade warranted. 2 things: 1. I think I'll buy a second battery this time around. 2. The Note line works so well with heavy Evernote users (like myself), can Pocketnow spend some time on Evernote and The Note 4? ... focusing on the loads of ways they work together. Many thanks!

It's funny how with each new version of a specific device, people say that it's the best and it's future proof and that it'll be a while before anything comes close to it.Then the successor to it comes out and then that becomes the best and nothing comes close to it an what not, and put down the previous generation. I have the Note 3 and can say that it still holds its own against the modern devices. I know some people that have the GS5 and say that they would still rather have my Note 3 than that.

"Weirdo USB 3 port"? What wrong with UBS 3? It's the next upgrade!
@imbrzyant10 жыл бұрын
To be honest, the USB 3.0 Port was very loose and shaky. I honestly lost connection a lot when I had my phone plugged in while using it. I like the 2.0 because the connection is much tighter and also, I didn't see much of a big difference in transfer speeds between 2.0 and 3.0 because a lot of it depended on the Read/Write speed of my Micro SD.

Michael, thank you for another great review. I was also a fan of the Note 4 vs. Iphone 6+ comparo you did in another KZbin video. All the best to you and the gang at Pocketnow. I follow your videos and stories and soooo wish I could actually work as an Android developer for a living. Regarding this video, it's actually surprising just how neck-and-neck the two smartphones actually are. That the Note 3 can keep up with the 4 (and differences between hardware are minimal) speaks to a number of possible vectors that Samsung could have taken with the jump between 3 and 4: it's doubtful that they didn't have the money required to jump to even more record-setting specs or features; maybe they didn't want to get too far ahead of themselves and keep the upgrades paced nicely (to preserve the Note tradition and heritage). One thing's for sure, though - if people are going to base their Note 3 / Note 4 decision based off a pricepoint, the Note 3 will probably win this comparo handily, depending on where you buy it from (COUGHeBayCOUGH) and how easily people can get them set up on their carrier. In a world of phablets which get even bigger these days, I'm drawn more to them. They are lighter than some, more useful than others, and basically have years of refinements that help cement their usefulness, capabilities, and reputation. They're not the A-10 Warthogs of the smartphone industry in the looks department, but because of just how much you can accomplish with them (and how robust they are to carry out their tasks). Are they perfect? Nope. What are they? In my humble opinion, Note phones are the front-runners of Samsung. They are the fully kitted-out beasts that smoke competitors. They ARE flagships. Period. Again, thank you for your video post.

I'm from the future 2019 a few things have changed. I kno yall excited about the new note 4.. but I'm here to give a heads up... when the galaxy note 7 comes out it will be recalled within a few month and less then a few weeks will its replacement note 7s be recalled Samsung will unleash a kill update to destroy all the note 7s.. due to battery shorting.. right after there will be a Note 7 Fe that is a lil faster n more equipped then the last two original note 7s.. it will be released the same time as the note 8 which the note 8 is the first note to have curved infinite display and no home button on the front... the note 9 will come in the late summer of 2018 it will have a high performance snap dragon 845 SoC chip 6 gig ram yes you heard it 6 gig ram that's unheard of in your time.. but now in the year 2020.... we have 3 new notes that where released all at the same time... the cheaper note 10 its $1,000 plus tax.. then the much larger Note 10 + which is what I currently have and then we have a note 10 + 5gLte yep mr.mobile we now have 5g in the yr 2020 and the brand new galaxy note is fast its beautiful and has a full screen infinite display which on the normal note 10 it's a 6.3" but is a 1080p... sadly.... the note 10 plus has a 6.8" 3040×1440 ultra HD display it's big bright beautiful fast and is running android 9 yep we came along way lmao.. 12gig ram 256g base line storage water proof 5 cameras a damn 3D camera as well which apps are still in the works for it and the processor for my note 10 plus is a snapdragon 855 SoC it's running 2.8 or 2.9ghz I cant remember right off it's one of the two n has 12gig ram it's stupid fast lol. The color I got is Aurora silver also known as Glow because it changes a shit ton of colors green orange blue gold white baby blue ect ect it's like a rainbow got captured inside the glass back panel and yes its glass.... they been glass since the Note 5 and that is also a good year for both note n S series phones.. that's when Samsung makes its biggest design change yet. All glass n aluminum phones no more plastic shit. And you get multiple S6 design phones to choose from. The S6 which resembles the S5 except its glass and nicer except its not water proof.. you also got the new design that started it all the S6 edge and S6 edge plus also known as the Edge plus.. the gold platinum is beautiful.. and resembles the Note 7 in many ways.... it's been a nice long time but that is what the future holds lol where on the brink of the S11 to be revealed lol

I am looking for my first note ever and was looking at the note 4 but saw the price and in canada on telus it is 300 on a two year term while the note 3 was 50 on a two year term. is the note 4 really worth that big in price? i had both it isnt a huge upgrade, but camera is way better and well the whole feel and look is better, so physically it is better and power wise it isnt that big, benchmarks are not too far off, but it makes a notable diffirence. if you arent looking to spend the money im sure you will be content with the note 3 but in all honesty if you are looking for the best phone the galaxy s6 will be out in like 3months and will have better specs than the note 4 not by much but will have more power than the note 4

I made some very specific comments, so when you get your grammar and your reading comprehension right, we can have a proper discussion like civilised individuals - or we won't have one at all.
@bloodySunday7710 жыл бұрын
Absolutely not. On the complete contrary, stock Androids were always universally recognised to be as far away as possible from the usual Samsung circus-like UI (that includes the usual bloatware unlike basic Android), and 5.0 is even more minimalistic in its graphic design.
@porscheoscar10 жыл бұрын
Simply Install Nova Launcher and you make it look nearly stock Android. For web browsing however and using Pulse, I find that TouchWiz actually reformats the page in an improved fashion, For instance if there's a photo on a web page article TouchWiz will increase the size of the photo and move it to the top which makes it easier to see. I noticed this when I compared Pulse on a G3 to my Note 3. TouchWiz did a better job. I prefer stock Android but you can get it pretty close with Nova Launcher, MultiPicture Live Wallpaper app, Glasklart icon pack and maybe the Voxis wall paper downdload. My phones's UI looks nothing like it did when it was stock.

Do you think guys that upgrading from a galaxy note 3 is truly worthy ? Especially considering the price gap between both of these devices , I don't see any great performance improvements even if it has a snapdragon 805 , the screen uses the extra juice found in this processor to power a display that is 70% more demanding than a full HD one .
