Please note this is my first play with this set and this villain. Rules explanations/clarifications/mistakes: 1. The Milano will rotate throughout the game with the next "First Player" and does not stay with the initial First Player. I will play this way for the first 4 scenarios. Not really that big of a difference in game play. 2. At 18:46, forgot to draw a card for surge.

Rocket looks a bit ally heavy, just the way I like all my decks. :D I'm only 3 plays in so far, and from that experience, I needed some serious threat removal. Rocket can do a lot so I'll be curious to hear from you how the aggression/protection goes for you. Love both of the builds. I do think Groot will shine with protection. Really nothing to add to his build, looks great to me. And for Rocket, the only thing I have is just personal preference, I've never been a fan of searching for minions, but I do know people loved the Thor card that did something similar. Both look to be solid decks! Great job and good luck! :)

Great Groot deck! Interesting to add Warlock with all of the mental resources. In my Groot deck I run Nerves of Steel, 3x indomitable, 3x desperate defense, 3x Never Back down. Its mainly to defend and ready. I need a little more punch though. I was thinking about adding Counterpunch(0 cost 2 Atk). What do you think? I don’t know if I like the fighting fit card. Maybe Dauntless for ping damage? Also any advice on allies to run with Groot protection? Maybe Brother Voodoo works? (Right now I have Starhawk, Clea, and MockingBird. Looking to add Ironheart). Using so many defense cards caused me to have some dead hands on my first play through. Any tips are appreciated. :)

Thanks for sharing. Very well played. You didn't make many mistakes. Especially considering how quickly you played and you filmed the play. I always make mistakes and play much slower. It's a lot to keep up with! Also, I think adding Tough to 4 characters at that critical time definitely helped to get the win. And, of course, you played very well. :-)

Great game, Dale - Thanks for sharing! I got to Ronan with prot Groot solo campaign (with prebuilt deck for the most part) and hit a wall, decided to give up on that for now and just play some non campaign matches against the new villains - lots of fun!

Great Play. The Milano is only controlled be the first player, only he can use it.But that is really hard to remember with all what's going on here... :)

@Memmnarch1981 It sure is, I read it quickly and just gave it to the first "first player" and kept it there. So expect the same for the first 4 scenario's. Not sure it really effects the game that much, but it does make sense in a multiplayer game for all players to reap its benefits. Thanks! :)

Well, yes and no. The Milano does follow the first player, but the resource it provides can be granted to any player. For the side schemes that require you to exhaust it to remove X amount of threat, yes that decision is made by the first player but will likely be a group decision most of the time, assuming the players tend to cooperate well. Edit: Some of the Market Deck upgrades also care who is currently controlling the Milano, so it's most important for those.

The last enemy is really hard but after you win it feels really great. The new mechanics of the expansion are great and refresh the game a lot.

Great game!! It'll be some time before I can get my hands on a copy of this, so double hype for your videos haha. I love the new characters. Be careful with forgetting the counters on Groot, for example when you played "We are Groot" you had 3 counters but those should have gone away previously, I mean is not a big deal, but for me it feels bad when I feel I "helped" myself with a mistake.

@Fernando Vila Thanks for watching! Yep, those mistakes will happen, but losing health vs counters, both good and bad, but spending those counters for toughness probably was a better deal. Since my gaming time is limited though, and editing takes some time, unless its a huge mistake, I'll just go with it since my main goal is to highlight the game and show off some mechanics. :)

I took Captain Marvel leadership and Rocket aggression against Drang and won fairly handily. They both have great built in thwart and their kits put out great damage. Infiltrate the Museum has been another beast entirely. I think Carol is going to Justice as those blue allies really fill up the collection quickly. I also lol’d when you said Schadenfreude but take such pains to avoid Jarnbjorn. I figured that one would be your Rocket event 😂

@@DaletheCasualGamer Well it was almost a two hour game but a Justice event heavy Captain Marvel and a very retooled and also event heavy aggression Rocket took down Infiltrate the Museum. I only lost access to Beat Cop and Honorary Avenger. Threat wasn’t a problem but I was having a hard time getting cards out of the collection fast enough. One has to wonder why the Collector would collect things he already has (i.e. why does his own stuff end up there)?

Rocket Raccoon and Groot were both defeated on my first try against the first scenario of the campaign. Drang had 16 health remaining on his second stage. We were still on the first main scheme (8/16 threat on it). This was hard, but fun! I think I need to add allies!

One player has to discard all the resources shown on the attachment ... and some also require you to exhaust your hero! They really do take away that heroes turn, but most really do need to be dealt with! :) Good luck!

At about 44:35 Clea would have taken Indirect Damage(you have to divide Indirect amongst Allies and your Hero as evenly as possible.) Looking forward to next playthrough.

@Games For Gamers The rules do state to "split" the damage, but it doesn't need to be evenly. The example in the rules states if you were to take 5 indirect damage you could put 4 on one character and 1 on another. The language for the ruling is still not very clear and even with the rules update that was posted and then taken back down, it wasn't worded well either. For some split amongst 3 characters could be 4-1-0. So needless to say, the rules clarifications needs help. Hope that helps, and happy gaming! :)

At 18:07 you made a mistake with Groot, didnt you? Groot received 4 damage, but he had only 2 counters. shouldnt he be down to 8 then?

Groot defended reducing the damage by his defense value of 3, so with 4 damage incoming, reduced by 3 only 1 token was removed. Hope that helps. :)

A question to all MC fans. Does this game have lots of replayability? I see many people record over 300 plays and don't get bored of it, but how many times can you be fighting against the same villain? Or do you basically need to keep on buying expansions packs to keep it fresh getting new villains/heros?

I think for the price of the core game there is still enough cards and modular sets to "get your money's worth" and provide variability. Like most core games without expansions, there will come a point where you go, "yep, I've done everything multiple times." The model for Living Card Games is to get expansions on a regular basis to provide a change to the game to keep it fresh. You don't need everything, so picking up a pack here or there would be good. Hope that helps! :)

Played this match a few days ago. We didnt stand a chance with the preconstructed Decks. We made it barely to stage 2, but his attacks and the indirect damage really destroyed us... P.S.: "Schadenfreude" is a german word, its not "Shadenfreud". :-D

You should probably use the Milano as the first player token that way you can use the first player actions on that person.

@CAM_301 I believe the Milano is assigned to a player, and with the campaign, certain cards that can be added to your decks and do more if that person "controls" the Milano. The first player can still use the Milano with "First player actions" even though they don't control the card. Hope that explains it. :)
