Galaxy S2 T989 Glass Only Replacement Repair using LOCA glue - Repair Shop Version

We put the glue in double sided y as well for iphones. But when applying glue without taking out the screen assembly from the front bezel like in this video, it seems more glue will leak into the corner if we use double sided y shape. It is impossible to wipe out excess glue this case. It makes less leak when using the straight line shape. But using the right amount of glue is the key.

everything else was ok except the last part where you put the glue on. the way you pressed the glass from side it can spill out, I actually did that with my note. best shape to put the glue is double sided y, in that way you don't have to press the glass to spread the glue. Thnaks for the sharing!

I was trying to read the name the bottle that you used to remove the glue from the LCD but it was out of focus. What was it? Also when you are not taking out the screen assembly from the front bezel what is the right amount of straight line glue to be used?

It looks like you use a hot plate to soften the factory Loca between the glass and digitizer. Then use wire to separate the glass and digitizer. What kind of shape does the broken glass have to be in. Just cracked or can it be shattered? .

Should mask edges of lcd. Glue will slide into lcd. Some lcd are sealed already. Was this one?

how come you don't bond the glass to lcd away from the frame? You still have uncured loca underneath the LCD. There's alignment molds for the S2....

If LOCA gets in to the phone can it short something out? Is it conductive to electricity?

It is not conductive. But use only 1 to 1.2 mm only. It is difficult to clean up the excessive glue without taking off the frame.
