I was irritated at the fact that it is only available with 1080p until I checked my s9+ resolution and I had forgotten that I have had it set to 720p for the last 2 years to save battery lmfao.

I can't see Samsung adding a periscope lens to the Plus variant. The existing telephoto is adequate and they will be trying to upsell people to the Ultra. Overall, I think it is a solid offering for anyone looking for a dependable Android phone. Everything you may need, no real gimmicks and 5 years of overall software support.

To all the people saying "But at almost $1000, 2k or 4k display is a must" Let me ask.. WHY? Sometimes "more" is not better : "Hi-Res" audio, more megapixels on cameras, upcoming 8K displays, and WQHD smartphone displays where many users report not really seeing the difference with WFHD, so why bother? For the same cost, I prefer better quality pixels (more accurate colors, contrast, luminosity, etc...) than just more pixels for the sake of it, same it has been for camera sensors on smartphones that are nowadays almost all 12 megapixels, because this is good enough.

There's one thing that keeps stopping me from considering pixel 6 is the video, for some reason I'm current version you cannot even switch to 4x zoom lens while shooting video, and when taking pictures, you can see a whole second leg in the viewfinder to switch to 4x lens picture. S22+ doesn't have any of these issues. Let some all the pixel os bugs

@Shahem Owies so far I like the flat screen and the phone itself. Right now after the most recent update I get a weird flicker across the screen occasionally but I believe that will be fixed. But the battery life is pretty bad if you don't charge it throughout the day. I always charge my phone on the way to work because of android auto, at lunch and on the way home. So the the battery life isn't a big deal to me but it might be to you. Overall tho I think it's a decent phone and the battery life is better than my s9+ but I think that's only because the s9+ battery was on its last legs.
@andyH_England2 жыл бұрын
A bit OTT love-fest as the S22+ is clearly not even close to the best display if metrics are a guide, and just saying it is seems very subjective. It would need a QHD+ config, LTPO 2.0 rather than an older version, tested it is hard to see it fall to 48Hz as it needs high ambient lighting. Also, it needs better PWM prevention (240Hz so not at all good compared with some of the competition), not as bright as many (S22U), at 80% window size it is just 1100 nits compoared to the marketing sell. Vison Boost and HDR10 are certainly worth the bragging rights, but they are also in other Samsung phones. The display is very good, but not really deserving the hyperbolic superlative commentary of this review!
