My fold 4 has held up pretty well for all that I've done to it. Dropped beach trips children. I also got 750 for my s20 ultra that was cracked so that was nice when I traded it in. Folds been good so far for me. Definitely got insurance just in case but now I've thought about dropping the insurance but I know as soon as I do something will happen

When I bought the z-fold 4 I fell in love with it. After awhile my infatuation faded. The thin front phone became annoying. But I spent a ton of money on it so I pretended it didn't bother me. And I pretended some more and I pretended some more but eventually I had to give in and say this is just too damn thin. Then the chunkiness. Look there's no way around it this phone is a chunk dog. It's heavy and thick. Then the open display. I was infatuated at first but soon the glaring crease became hard not to see. Oh I pretended you can't see it but I lied to myself ... It's there. Let's not forget lack luster battery life a mediocre camera. I traded an old s21plus for the ultra and now my fold is laying eggs in the closet. Do I eBay it or take a chance on the 5. That's my dilemma but for all practically the 23 is so much better I fell out of love and must break up with the z-fold 4

I've had good experience with the 21 ultra, with the Galaxy Note 9 for 4 years. AFTER OWNING THE GALAXY FOLD 4!! I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO A SLAB PHONE.. they are so wrong about most people use the smaller display 80% of the time.. IT'S THE OPPOSITE FOR ME!! The unfolded display with the case is a perfect size to hold in your hand I can even put it in my pocket. They did their homework. I almost never close my phone maybe close it at a max five times a day.. and doesn't seem to slip out of my hand like the slab phones.. You realize the weight difference is only 20 g which is not a big difference at all.. in camera tests the Galaxy fold 4 in a lot of ways because of the better processing took a lot of better pictures, portrait mode was better, the only thing that wasn't better was obviously the zoom.. it constantly gave a slightly better pictures and video in every way than the 22 ultra.. The camera on the fold is more than good enough for anything in this day and age.. HIGHER PIXELS DON'T NECESSARILY MEAN BETTER PICTURES!! They mostly mean if you print something you can have a bigger picture with less pixels.. there are 12 megapixel professional portable dedicated cameras that would blow away the 22 ultra.. aperture size is a big one for low light. As for the crease I never see it I really don't. The only time you can see it is when you have a lot of reflection like outside if you can see reflections on any screen you obviously going to see the crease. You never notice it almost ever!! SCREEN IS SO BEAUTIFUL. I even love the bigger s pen. I now getting used to the big spen pen don't want to go back to a small one that my case holds, which I had for many years with the Note 9. When I go back to using the front screen the small one, and my girlfriend's 22 ultra it just seems so small now it feels awkward doesn't feel right. I JUST CAN'T EVER GO BACK LOL.. And by the way the picture difference even this guy shows is very small indeed.. if there wasn't a side-by-side you could not tell the difference in videos or pictures!! OH AND IF YOU LIKE VIDEO GAMES, VIDEO STUFF, AND MOVIES THERE'S NO COMPARISON!! EXPERIENCE WITH THE BIGGER SCREEN BETWEEN THE TWO IS NOT EVEN CLOSE!! When you get used to this big screen you just don't want to go back!! Seriously!! AND HAVE WE TALKED ABOUT HOW YOU CAN TAKE SELFIES WITH THE 50 MEGAPIXEL CAMERA PREVIEWING YOUR SELFIE ON THE SMALL SCREEN ON THE FRONT!! SO IT TAKES 50 MEGAPIXEL SELFIES!!! Can't do that with any ultra in that type of resolution and quality!! Furthermore THE MICROPHONE, SPEAKERS IN AUDIO QUALITY ARE BETTER ON THE FOLD 4!! For complete entertainment, multitasking, television, social media, GAMING EXPERIENCE, AND MORE THE FOLD 4 WINS!!

The occasional bug may be introduced but rarely has Samsung failed to provide a good update to their flagship devices. Only Apple and Google are falling behind because they got too comfortable.

I think the biggest advantage of S23 Ultra is durability, the inner screen being permanently damaged by nail is scary on such an expensive device.

I traded my ZF4 in for the 23 Ultra. The Fold 4 was my first fold experience, and I definitely needed it to form a better opinion. For me it just wasn't as practical. I love having and using the S pen and it was too frustrating trying to find the right case to house it vs having it built in like with the Ultra. Also, I feel the difference in camera quality is greater than in your experience. Particular when zooming in on ANY picture.. It just doesn't hold up on the fold 4. The flexibility of having that opened up tablet feel for multitasking was outweighed for me by my more frequent use of the phone being folded and using the front smaller screen primarily - which often felt like I was using a smaller, unnecessarily more cumbersome phone. I might revisit the Fold in future generations if Samsung makes some changes that cater to my use but for now I'm glad to be back with the Ultra

I have Z Fold 3 right now and I was considering upgrading to a S23 U or waiting for Z Fold 5 as it's had a few hiccups that's worried me. Still can't decide as the increased potential issues the Folds naturally have over other phones concerns me. Something worth noting is speaker placement. On my Z Fold 3, and I assume on other Fold phones the speakers are on the same side as the front screen. When open and holding in landscape, you can rotate the phone so your hands don't cover the speakers, witch you can't do on standard phones.

Ive had a fold 3 for one year and developed quite a few mini cracks/ scratches along the centre fold line of the inner screen. To be honest I was happy to live with it, but just a few days ago my wifi has stopped working. Upon further research ive realised this is a hardware issue caused by the constant folding off the phone affecting the wifi sensor. Anyways now in a dillema of whether to replace with a Fold 4 given what i know about the reliability issues of folding phones or go with an S23 ultra. Just something to consider.

I think the S23U is the better device. Yeah the Z Fold 4 has advantages but what I've noticed was that many apps shown here simply showed more content on the S23U because of the better aspect ratio. Unless you multitask a ton, it's a pretty easy decision

@@Bwonan01 That doesn't change anything. The Fold has big black bars for things like videos, that's the issue. For some apps you can change the aspect ratio but usually only if you multitask, so if you don't do that a lot, the S23 Ultra just wins the battle

@kaianthony8077 hey... ngl I am currently using the Z-Fold4 and am actually disappointed with it overall, so much bloatware and spyware hidden in the system files that cannot be deleted, and every Samsung smart phone I have owned has had really poor battery life, even after you dumb the phone down and put most apps into deep sleep, and battery saving on etc, by the time you done setting up your smartphone you left with a "dumbed-down" phone. 120hz refresh rate is only as useful as the the paper it's advertised on, unless youre using an iPhone (my daily dtiver) so in all faitness, I can see your point and it's a valid one. have a beautiful day/night furher😊 Rox 🦋 🇬🇧

I'm stuck between these two lmao! I have both but thought about sending the S23 Ultra back in and keeping the Fold4. Only thing holding me back is sometimes my touch doesn't register on the Fold for the outer display. I can't tell if it's just so sensitive that it thinks I'm kind of swiping left or right at the same time or if it is a hardware bug. Only happens once every 30 taps or so, but is still really annoying. Happens often when I click a folder and then tap on an app.

The only reason I switched from fold 4 to s23U but coz I was tired of babying it. After being so carefull, my friend dented the inner screen with his fingers. And evertime I opened my phone, I was always wishing please don't crack. And my unit had an issue where the inner screen was poping from center as it was not adhered well so everytime I opened, i can hear sound like someone was taking sticker off the surface. As a utilitarian person who wants a phone for content consumption, Samsung killing micro SD cards have been the single worst decision they've made and no online storage is not a good compromise. Anyone getting the fold is not just buying an expensive phone, they are also buying their replacement in a few months when it inevitably dies. The 23 series is fine but still no micro SD card makes it feel like a feature incomplete hunk of glass and metal.

Tbf ounce you go from a slab to a fold 90% of you won't go back You can't even notice the crease once you own it for a couple of days it blends in you get used to it I won't ever go back to a slab phone my first fold was fold 2 then I jumped 3 and got fold 4 My only gripe and its small is the pen dies not go in the phone as you have to get a case for that That is my only issue and it's not big to me I don't take pics or videos so camera is definitely not an issue for me iv held the s22 ultra and didn't like it wanted me fold back

Can't even consider either of them cuz they're far too expensive. No phones on the market that should cost more than $900 at most. And that should be the price of the fold. Everything else should be no more than between $700 and $800. Secondly Samsung no longer includes a charger in the box considering what they charge for their phone both a charging brick and a case should come included

I can´t fathom why would anyone choose the S23 Ultra over any modern foldable. Besides the huge advantage in multitasking, there is a huge diference in things like reading books or manga, or when browsing the internet, or gaming, etc...

Durability, modern more efficient chipset and a lovely 10x optical zoom are good reasons. Dex is also available just like the Fold if you have a display nearby.

@@vlesmeries haven't seen anyone complain about any durability issues since the fold 3. The processor being more efficient and the 10 times zoom are nice to have but hardly enough to compensate lthe disadvantages.

The Z-Fold folds the wrong way. The fact that it has to be rotated to get content to fit properly justifies my opinion

The past 2 days I've been extremely unhappy with the camera from my new fold 4 I got! I've been carrying my s22 ultra with me just for the camera while been away as this thing is just Pee poor! I'm actually shocked at how bad it is and and why Samsung wou have just used a peris zoom from the s20 ultra another device I have and now perfect with the new on UI 5.1 update and I mean perfect no faults now on the s20 ultra its a belter of a device now it's had all this time n to fix it! The camera now is amazing one UI 5.1 has just made the s20 ultra a very very good device! I was going to sell it on but no chance now with this update!

Be careful, x3 is so bad on Z fold 4, I got one and my "old" s21 ultra x3 was already far batter in term of detail, so s23 ultra can't be equal to that of the Z fold 4

I assume you mean 3X, not X3 here and are referring to the telephoto camera. There is a slight difference, largely in pixel size, but overall the images are very similar from my testing.

What they dont tell you is that the zfold big screen fails after about a year of normal use, mine has a big inky blob on it and the touch screen does not work. Also, its not covered for repair, if you want to fix it its going to cost around 500 dollars. Until it broke itself, it was the best phone I ever had though.

@@scaryifliteral sure how many inch is that diference a 6" to a 6.8" is a giant diference but 6.8 to 7.6 is not you almost finger up and down size diference even with boarder but no almost the same!
