AE/AF lock described at 9:00 in video (Auto mode) is different in Pro mode. In Pro mode, AE/AF lock can also be split into separate AE lock and AF lock, and they can be moved independently.

Does anyone know how to get that places app (@ 8:20) up on an S9+ running android 10? As usual samsung have moved things around 😒. The only options I get in Bixby vision are qr code, translate, discover and shopping. There is no places option at all (just a toggle option which does nothing in settings).

Hello! I was wondering if you know of a way to default the shooting mode of the s9+ camera to pro mode? I shoot a ton of video on my phone and I cant stand it when the phone defaults back to auto from pro mode. I shoot 99% of what i do inside my workshop(basically the same shooting conditions all the time) and shoot off a tripod. So I basically set all my parameters to one setting and never want that to change. I ruin a ton of footage because the camera defaults back to auto mode and tries to autofocus at the worst times. That second photo also had a ISO of 1000 too which is another reason why it's so bright, but also explains why the photos are very noisy of a night

There's the 'Bokeh Filters' that you missed out that is only available on the S9+ with the Live Focus mode. If Live focus is shot at f1.5 and there's bokeh detected in the background, the option to change the bokeh to different kind of shapes will appear.

Problem is you have to choose between optical telephoto (not available in Pro mode, for some insane reason) and RAW (not available outside Pro mode).

They moved it from the menu to an icon at the bottom of the screen. Looks like a crayon/pencil

Jimmy how do you get more light when shooting super slo mo? Its seems darker than normal when shooting.

Jimmy Smithers it is darker yes, but you can turn on the light and it'll help if the object is closer. It works best with good light cause even with warm light light bulbs, the 960fps can beat and captures light crossing the room haha

When you do selfie take. How do you have it where the photo does not rotate when it is snapped. For ex before snapping a photo nose ring Is on the right side when the photo is snap it flips to the left . How do you turn that off

On my S8 I was able to join two videos but I am not able to join videos without an additional app. I have a S9 now and would like to know if you know if there is a hidden function the camera to join using the phone and no additional apps.

No. But since the lst update, this feature was hidden. If you wanna use it, click on edit (the pen icon), then click on the three dots and select Color Pop.

Camera related question, I have an S9 but used to have an LGG4- it had a feature where you could double click a button(it was the volume down button on the back which was wierldly under the camera lens but was amazing when you got used to it) and it would wake up the phone from standby and it would instantly take a pic, then if you double clicked it again it would take another. Is this possible with Samsung's? I'm aware there is a double click tge power button to open the camera but then you have to press the on screen shutter to take the shot. Just so you know I want this feature as I go cycling and it was previously brilliant to just be able to pull out your phone, point it in the direction of what you wanted to snap, and then press a hard real button a few times whilst moving so you didnt have to be distracted as you were riding.

Great video. Learned three things! Question though: Have you figured out how to do the hardware-zoom (switching to the tele-lens) in PRO mode? In Auto it is fairly simple. If you hit the 2x you are there (provided you have enough light, otherwise you get digital zoom. But ironically in PRO mode it is digtital zoom all the time...?

I swapped from Iphone to the S9+. I had one feature on my Iphone that I need on this camera but I can't find it at all. Please help me. I need to be able to set a selfie timer for 10 seconds then have the phone take a series of quick bursts on my camera from across the room. When u click the 3 lil lines on top left and select notification find the 1 u want and click it another screen will appear with a small white circle and a download type arrow from there u should b able to adjust it for specific contacts if not ringdroid may be the app u need if u already have music on your phone
