For me the iPad Pro is so important for my workflow - as a trainer and an accountant - I use the pen to jot client meeting notes / I use the large screen to show the client reports etc when meeting in person and for training, it's my device for all my notes to provide a training session - I use it more as a companion to my laptop - but it has become essential, pretty sure if I was in the windows world, the Galaxy Tab would be the equivalent.

I use the iPad mini, but like tablets in general as additions to phones. I have the mini to travel with for entertainment and also to take notes on when reviewing contracts away from my computer (although phone screens are "big" they're too small for reviewing lots of info imo). I also use the tablet for reading books. I use my phone (pixel 4a 5g - but looking to upgrade later this year) for quick email responses, messaging, listening to podcasts, scheduling/productivity and I guess calling. My computer (currently a 2014 MacBook air but hoping to transition to one of the M1 desktop products) is used for drafting more complex emails, drafting documents, and doing research. I also do some light video editing currently but am hoping to do even more in the future.

I've used my S7+ a couple years and preordered S8 Ultra. Have always used both 90-something % of time as a desktop (with keyboard/mouse). Luckily free keyboard included with S8 Ultra, but probably still use mouse if possible. Mouse on Android is great. Trade in helped to get it for $500. Regarding DEX, which was meant to use a small phone/tablet on a big screen. With S8 Ultra, you don't really need DEX. I like using my S7+ as desktop. Popup windows act like individual windows. My video editor (KineMaster) can't popup, but I do that full screen and make everything else popup in front. Alt-tab'ing to switch. I haven't used Windows or my Surface Pro at home in years. I even VPN to work through Android and with that kind of screen resolution, works very well. Works for me for home use and YT content creation very well. You just have to get familiar with all the capabilities.

As a guy in sales, the tablet seems like it'd be amazing for me as I don't want to lug a computer around for presentations, and my phone is too small for that kind of thing. I have an iPad air 4 but I hate the ios experience and have wanted an android so this would fit the need of having a tablet for in home sales, and give me more places to be able to work without having to be at my computer at home to build proposals and such.

tablets r the students’s Valhalla. I bought an Ipad this summer and albeit i’m a CS student so i like need the somewhat beefy laptop but math classes, econ classes, being able to scribble directly on a powerpoint and not losing a paper the second i step out of class. It’s everything I want and more. Flying home or to school? Super fun to read and or watch videos on. On a lighter course load day? Just taking the tablet around with me and i can bum around in a coffee shop and if i really need it bluetooth keyboard. It fits in like a perfect puzzle piece !

As a student I have all 3 devices, all mid tier (Poco x3, lenovo legion 5 and galaxy tab s6 lite) and it's honestly great. I use the tablet in classes to take notes, read whatever I need and just generaly use for school purposes or watching media content on the go, laptop for gaming, media content at home, any longer assignments and so on, and use the phone for the regular phone stuff like social media, contacting people, taking photos and so on. It's much easier to carry the tablet around than the pc, and the S pen is honestly amazing so it was definitely worth the investment.

I also have a computer (dell xps 15) because I use CAD modeling software and therefore need a graphics card in a compact format, I also use my computer for papers or video lessons. The best use case that I can think of would be a drone pilot doing visual inspection. As a mechanical engineer who also owns a drone photography and videography company, a tablet is quite beneficial when I need to show a client preliminary photos of a visual inspection. I can transfer photos from my drone to the tablet to show the client photos of the visual inspection before the full post-processing occurs on my desktop or laptop.

I have considered that use-case problem before, and the only use case where it seems like the best option to me is if you always carry your tablet (look at p.s. for more on this) and use either something like Google voice or your carrier supports voice calling directly on a smartwatch or tablet, in which case you can just not have a phone on you and just use earbuds to take any calls. This use case works specially well for people who just don't have any other computer outside of that one, and can be cheaper depending on what you're replacing with it. Cloud computing also adds to that use case through the virtue of being basically platform agnostic, with a tablet offering a bigger screen than a phone as a huge benefit. PS: At first I only considered carrying the tablet in a backpack or sling bag but foldable tablets, specially the Lenovo one look really good and can be carried without a bag. PPS: Foldable tablets having a mini outer screen would be nice for the use case I mentioned above, where one forgoes carrying a phone at all.

Regarding the S8 ultra. At one point while you guys were speculating on who could best take advantage of this product, you described me. I'm the person who used to be a heavy computer/laptop user and has found that now I need the laptop / desktop experience far less. Additionally my laptop has some age on it now and has never performed optimally. As phones became more and more powerful and frankly quicker, I found myself using the laptop far less. The S8 ultra can now take the place of the laptop and the light duty that I need it for while giving me the rapid response and AMOLED screen and all the other benefits that the phone has brought to my life. I must say that I've owned the S7 Plus for about 8 weeks now along with the keyboard that's designed exactly as the one illustrated in this video. The design is fabulous except however on soft surfaces. Another point that you guys made or rather a question that you raised was how often do you use your laptop on your lap. For me, never except for when I was on an airplane. The tablet aspect of this product lends itself to that as well. At any rate thank you for your work and I appreciate this video.

I have a good phone, pixel 6 pro, and a work computer but needed something to use that was not my work computer and not my phone. I consume a lot of media as well and found this was the perfect balance. Also the $250 trade value I got for my (2019) Tab A 10.1, which I happened to receive from Sprint for free 3 years ago. For me this just made sense. I did end up going with the S8+, simply because I thought the almost 15 inches would be too big when being used as a handheld device.

I'm a teacher here in Brazil and I use my tab s6 lite for most of my work, from using my planner to keep up with my schedules to watching something on Disney + or Amazon Prime it really is a daily driver. I'm not really a big gamer so I don't care if it can run Genshin or 3D render on Blender, for what I use it, it's pretty enough. I also use it in classes, whether I need to show something to my students or even using the teacher's companion book (in PDF). I work in two schools so I needed to carry kind a lot of books around, but nowadays just the tab and a wireless keyboard. Where I work we have company e-mails so I use Office 365 daily as well, which is a blast. Sadly the screen broke last week, so now I'm looking forward to a S7 ('cause of the support, and Bluetooth enabled S-Pen).

I'd say I'm a target demographic for a tablet. I'm a university student, so I do a lot of taking notes on Samsung notes. I also draw as a hobby, created a one shot webcomic in the past (although that was on a laptop with krita) so a large screen with minimal pen input lag is the best. I also tutor and TA for classes part-time, so a screen to write on in a zoom meeting is essential. Also, my laptop is my main machine which I plug into a monitor at my dorm, so I can't really lug that around often. I can lug my tablet everywhere with me, so it's very handy since it's so portable. I love my tab S7

I am the target Demo--I got this tablet because I use it exclusively as a media device. I will play video games on my PC/PS5 and then watch youtube/netflix/TV/etc. as my media display. I had an ipad pro 12.9 and the only downside to it was I occasionally WISHED I had a larger screen for some movies. This nailed it. I just wish the keyboard supported lap-usage like the ipad pro keyboard.

Hey! So I’m a journalism student and freelancer. For me the IPad has been such an vital device for my school like. I have a windows computer that I use mainly to do video and photo editing, research and some other heavier tasks that I would do at home. The IPad is my school device, so from taking notes, writing lighter assignments at campus, reading and doing zoom meetings I use an IPad + Logitech combo Touch. I don’t really use my phone to get any work done, so all my tasks are either on a desktop windows computer or my IPad.

My phone is my most used device, I never go anywhere without it and I want everything to be snappy and work with as little friction as possible. I used to use high end Samsungs or Pixels but I switched to the iPhone 13 Pro Max last year. I bought a Tab S7+ while I was still using Samsung phones to use for reading comics, watching streaming services and KZbin, and social media. I have a PC with an ultra-wide monitor for games and when I need to work from home. A tablet is the one that I need the least but reading comics and watching movies/TV shows on my phone isn't a great experience even with a large screen phone.

I think the use-case for having a really nice phone, tablet, and computer is definitely like Designers/Developers/Freelancers/Artists in general. Personally I offer Logo Design, Branding, Web Design, Full-Stack Web Development, and Illustrations. Along with that I also offer amateur photography to my web/branding clients at a reduced rate from what a professional would charge and I just use my phone. Because of that, I have and use consistently: - Galaxy S22 Ultra for photos and on the go productivity. - IPad Pro for drawing mockups/wireframes and doing Illustrations. - M1 Macbook Pro for web development and for when I'm on trips and stuff. - High end windows PC for doing more intense Illustrator/photoshop/After Effects/Premier Pro work.

For me the only reason I could see this (or any tablet) is to take notes, especially for classes. I am a Physics major and no matter how good we are with LaTeX we need to take down notes every day in and day out. Especially while moving around or in awkward places; especially when collaborating with others. Like just to give you an example I use a notebook for multiple course and have used up 500 pages just with my assignments, since having individual course books is hard since they aree not adequate or too much and referencing notes is harder. Plus this would work well with courses that require or are faster with typed notes rather than handwritten ones. Hope that helps

For me, as a college student, the tablet (ipad pro for me) is useful to my college experience. I have an iPhone Xs, an iPad pro 11in, and a M1 Mac mini. The most important thing the iPads can do is take notes with the pen, something the MacBook can’t do. I also don’t like laptops, as they seem to be a compromise in portability and power. Id rather have two fully functional devices that are separate than one that can sorta do both. But i mean now with m1 my iPad and my mac mini r the same, so i guess that power compromise is disappearing…

I preordered the tab S8 ultra. I have a beefy desktop I mainly use for sim racing/editing photos. and an old LG G8X as a phone. My priorities were media consumption, light productivity and just general web browsing. I was crossing shopping this with 2 in 1 ultrabooks and after I got the tab s8 price down to around $800 usd for the 12gb ram version w/ keyboard (with trade in and bundle discount), I ended up going with the tab s8 ultra. At the end of the day, both will do what I need it for so it came down to which one had nicer hardware that enhanced that experience. At full MSRP price, I don't think it's worth it... I would've gone with an HP envy or something instead

If the new galaxy tab could prop itself up right with the keyboard on a lap I would totally ditch my iPad Pro for that just to have the option for DEX.

Spen will still work even if it isn't charged and the only thing you lose is the bt functions. Unlike the apple pencil which need to be charged or it won't write. So really doesn't matter if you don't ever put the spen on the back to charge.

31:22 I got an iPad mini a couple of years ago, my use for it has pretty much been a media device. I connect my headphones to it primarily, consume all KZbin and podcasts on it. I always have something playing in the background while I work, it’s a small screen off to my side so it’s perfect for me cuz it’s not distracting. Plus, I’m an android user so I like having access to an iOS device through iPad.

Can you pretty please tell me if you directly connect and can use the tab S8 ultra as secondary screens/portable monitors for a surface laptop studio. I want the best of both worlds, to have clear beautiful additional monitors to multitask on and be able to still use all of the tab features simultaneously like pen and 10 point touch as well as the cameras to be able to zoom class on while I’m taking notes directly on my surface laptop studio which I do now. I don’t want to have to use Dex. I just want to have everything just work like plug and play like my asus zenscreen does right now. Space in a travel bag is precious so I’ve been at this for a while now trying to achieve the perfect school bag that has everything I want in it and can get everything done that I need to. I like how you do what’s in my bag video and if your interested I’d like to show you what’s in my new Tumi Duffle. They finally came out with a bag that I can fit everything into and I have been as busy as a bee for the past month now trying to get it as close to perfection as humanly possible. Seams like I learn something new everyday I have it out in the field. Anyways to be able to get these tablets to work seamlessly with windows as sencondary monitors without having to use Dex or Wi-Fi would be a dream come true to a techie like me. I’ve really gone above and beyond for this bag, even someone on your level would be impressed. Maybe you could change the operating system on the tab to get it to work seamlessly with a surface laptop the way I want to use it

So I know you said it doesn't work well on your lap, but then you basically said that you would just chill out and watch TV... That's why the Tab S8 Ultra has a detachable keyboard. Just detach the keyboard and do casual stuff and use the tablet without the keyboard, then it will be really comfortable on your lap

I really consider getting a S8+ or ultra as a student who follows classes with my tablet Rn I have a Surface/Laptop combo but my laptop is dying on me and my surface is not good enough to do both I considered to just get a new Laptop but I also like to cut down the weight of my Backpack if possible. I'm really tempted

For Zach to make his vehicle street legal it would only have to have headlights turn signals mirrors The standard equipment that is already installed on the vehicle. Because it was a production vehicle with a VIN number and it already passed all of the. Inspections and regulations. It already is street legal as long as all of the signaling devices are still operating. That's just a brief overview but you get the point. It will be a street legal vehicle I'm sure.

I think you should take a look at Chromebooks again. The Playstore has updated so all the functionality of a tablet or phone can now be had on a Chromebook.

What Andrew mentions about the Surface Pen would not work for the S-Pen or Apple Pencil. That Surface Pen does not need to charge so it can be stored there.
