@@fadijany I've used my watch 3 since launch. And I run til my fingers are pruned from sweat 😅 I sometimes use it while showing or go for a swim. Never been an issue (be careful for long exposure to salt water)

2 years into Covid and it still blows my mind that companies aren't including a thermometer on smartwatches. Wrist might not be the ideal spot but ive got to imagine there's a way to figure out the average deviation from your forehead to your wrist.

Well there is a watch that does the Huawei watch 3 which has a body temperature sensor and takes the temp from your wrist so there is as I have the Huawei watch 3 elite stainless Steel edition and its superb more ram at 2gb bigger battery lasts longer bigger screen built in esim speaker and built in mic so much more for your money in my opinion that the Samsung watch 4.

I think it's kind of the point take the features of Wear OS that weren't part of Tizen and add them and make it open enough for other people to use and the market to grow Or it's a Samsung skin

Yeah and thank God it does because Wear OS is an unintuitive mess. I recently had the displeasure of selling one of my customers a Fossil watch with Wear OS on it and there literally wasn't one thing I could point out that wasn't inferior to the Tizen operating system on my Galaxy watch Frontier from 3 1/2 years ago.

Bit of a public service announcement, Samsung UK support have confirmed that to use the sensors you have to have a Samsung phone. The Samsung Health Monitor app will NOT be available on other Android phones.

Which sensors did you mean? Is it the snoring detection feature which uses the connected phone's mic? If that's it, it makes sense since they cannot easily access mic on other phone brands. But other than that, it shouldn't have any issues tp pair with other Android as with previous gen Galaxy Watch. Correct me if I'm wrong ...

@@obidean3964 even the ECG won't work without a Samsung phone. It's really a watch for Samsung phones not comparable with pixel or other androids. It's such a let down. Really hope they open it up

@@whatsbestnow Interesting but I think the lack of ECG for non Galaxy phones probably more due to the authority, regulations and the special permissions with other phone makers since the feature need thorough review from regional health organization before it's legal for consumer usage that takes way long time, same with Apple Watch. Maybe since Samsung the one that register for the certification, probably reason why it's only limited to Galaxy. My 2 cents ...

We've been able to stream through Spotify and Tidal on LTE Galaxy Watches for a long time, even better we don't have to use headphones, music comes out of speaker on the watch.

Or you can trade in your gw3, and Samsung will give you up to 150 for it as long as it turns on. My balance was 129 after trade in assist. If you wait,, then the value of your trade in will also go down.. Worth it if you as me

The biggest flaw according to me is that Samsung Watches take into account your Samsung Health Profile and Basal Metabolic Rate to measure calorie burned during a workout. So they are tailored to you, providing your profile is accurate, but these workouts (except walking & running) don't use the Heart Rate Monitor to count burned calories which is plain stupid according to me. I'm really hoping they fix this in Watch4 and is par with how other popular brands track calories during a workout by using actual heart rate and not a BMR formula. None of the reviewers bother with this in the past reviews too and hoping someone sees this and questions Samsung.

The most I hate about Samsung watches is the battery life I don't have time to recharger it each day ,, I tried Huawei GT 2 it stay alive for 14 days and that such great battery life ,, I wish at least they let it stand a weak :( .

You're comparison is very vague. Samsung and apple have never lasted for more than 2 days because of their software and extra things that consume alot of battery, in other words its a smart watch. the gt 2 is just a watch for fitness, not saying it's bad or anything, but theres no to track your blood pressure or extra things people need in their daily lives. The GT 2 and fitbit would be a good comparison

I have the Galaxy Watch and it's running fine but it's really lost it's luster due to being out of date for the new health measurements. Samsung has really stop updating with any new bells and whistles. I probably will update since I've held out in the last couple of Samsung watch releases.

I’ve used my Galaxy Watch Active 1 a lot when jumping into water and diving a few meters down. Has worked fine for me but I’ve always rinsed it of afterwards because of the salt. Hard to use the watch under water tho because it has a digital bezel

I just can't get excited about a samsung watch. I purchased the 3 and was severely dispointed. Brand New out of rhe Box w everything turner off except heart rate I could barely get 24 hrs out of it and on top of that it was kinda laggy which i couldn't stand. Oh and there were barely any apps to download. Hopefully they fix that because the watch is horrible w out 3rd party apps. I ended up going w the ticwatch pro 3 and everything I hated about the Samsung I loved w the ticwatch. The pro 3 is light-years ahead of Samsung and even has 2 screens built in for regular mode and essential mode that can last up to 45 days. And pro 3 is far better looking than the Samsung 4.
