Next time, use a thin but durable plastic sheet to navigate through the bezel and cut the glue under the screen before lifting. This worked best for me so far, but I don't know about the clearance of that specific glass. Maybe start around the speaker

Is that to remove the front screen without destroying it?

@@ersbit yes, I keep some carrier films of dispay protectors for that. Those help me out best, when I cannot lift the glass. Once I get it under there, I just slice through the glue, sometimes with some alcohol in the seam and after that, the glass should easily pry out. I have not tried to salvage a screen from a broken glass though. Good luck!

@@khamigen Thanks for the explanation. Yep, alcohol is very useful in these situation. I could have been more patient but lol I had to finish this at some point.

I know this may seem like a dumb question but could you use acetone or would that destroy any components in the OLED?

Thanks so much, i used the pick to go across where the top speaker is and it came up nicely, no faffing about needed - i had a new glass with new screen so being careful with the old didnt matter for me

I chose to leave it for two years. But now I saw a deal for trading in z fold4 for fold6, so I am gonna replace it.

Because it is harder to do that. I don't have the freezer, laminating machine to remove the bubbles and attach the new glass (oca). I can try the wire and loca glue which is somewhat outdated procedures. With a folding phone what if the loca glue runs and get trapped inside the Hinge area (😕). I am showing what I consider the easiest way to do these repairs. If I was able to remove the screen without it being damaged I could have done another video showing how to Replace the glass only. With the screen out replacing the glass with loca glue is much more easier than trying it with the screen still attach on the body. I hope I have responded to your question.

The laminating sealer of the glass machine makes the fix very easy. Using loca glue is hard and very approximate. The loca glue being sold also are very strange I don't believe it is of the highest quality like 5 ...10 years ago.

I can agree with you that this is really a pain in the a** and as you did i was also trying heating up, using alc 99,99% and many other options, but neither worked. So the simple method was using a plastic thin card. In that way the card will bend under the screen (where the bezzle is) and on this way you can easy cut trough the glue. Of course you have still to be carefull to not touch the inner screen so cut slightly the glue from the side after you are able to lift it and don't force, take your time. I had to be patient about a hour to remove the screen without any damage. I will prefer to start from the top and cut from middle to left and right and then pick up the right side and at least the bottom. At this point the screen will lift up like a door and you can remove it by gently pulling up. Still good luck for your next project and it's a shame what Samsung is doing here. The best reparable Phone of this Models was Fold3 and of course Fold4 is better becouse of the material and the front screen is now as it should be from the begining, but the glue was not nessesary to be that strong. It is improving in a good but also bad way. And there are still issues from Day one with the flex cables and also with the dust between the hinges so it would stop opening up to 100%. It is a shame for a company like samsung in so many years they couldn't fix some simple issues with the phone and it would be so mutch better, it could...
