I love anything Galen Leather. I just got my writers box. I have their messager bag and several other products. I enjoy their goody bag too. Everything they make is such quality.

The extra lined and graph paper serve as guides behind the blank pages. The leather is a blotting paper for your wet inks after writing. I have the Everyday Notebooks in A5 and pocket. I just received my Writer’s Box yesterday and am watching setup idea videos.

I am like Lydia in Pride & Prejudice about a ball; to paraphrase: "Oh, good! I love a haul!" And I got emotional right along with you. The packaging, the attention to detail, the extra little goodies, the sentiments all make it so special. It's all GORGEOUS. I don't have anything from Galen, but I've seen other people say that the extra piece that comes with the inserts is to use as a blotter page for your fountain pens. As for the proper pronunciation of Tomoe, I follow a line from Psych: "I've heard it both ways." ;-)

Thank you for the tip for the extra bit that’s a blotter! That makes much more sense to me now. As soon as I asked if it was to write on, I thought to myself it may be a bit too soft. Had a chuckle over “Oh, good! I love a haul!” 🤣 and now have the urge to both reread and rewatch P&P!

@@HouseofHood I sometimes put on P&P (BBC 1995) on in the background when I'm doing stuff around the house. "Ooooh, better speed it up! Lizzie's on her way to Derbyshire!" 🙂 The first time I read P&P, I ended up reading it 2 more times in a row because it was that good. I also just love Persuasion. If you've not seen the reviews for the recent Netflix version, Spinsters Library and Ellie Dashwood both did really good ones!

Those are not sample pages. You put those behind the blank page that you want to write on and they act as a guide.
