I LOVE the sketch you made in the coffee shop. Using the coffee like watercolor was a wonderful idea! 🖌

The best thing is that you don’t need to carry any paint 😊 and it makes your book smell nice - that is if you like coffee scent of course ❤️

I used to live in Devonport. I went to Devonport primary school back in the 90's. Beautiful place. Mt Victoria was awesome to slide down on cardboard boxes! Great content as always ✌️

Hi Flower : - Hope all's well down there..... A pretty box, and a slab of very nicely grained Turkish walnut put to good use indeed. They seem to have an endless supply of the rareish wood, as, many (most?) shotgun and rifle stocks seem to be made of this material too - unless you're in 'Murica of course!?. Walnut is hard and durable (easy to remove marks in it with fine wirewool + walnut oil too!) - and much lighter compared to most other hardwoods. There's some really high-end/renowned craftspeople in Turkey for sure : They make the best bronze cymbals in the world too = A true pinnacle of traditional metalworking Art, and one of the most difficult "by hand" manufacturing skills to learn on the planet (some are only around 1mm thick, and have to stand up to being clouted with a drumstick!!), definitely worth checking out on here if ever you have a few minutes..... being a fellow "Creative" . All the best to you and your "clan" down there - it's just nice to be getting slowly back to a "normal" life I guess?...... Whatever Normal Is??!!. Bye Chuck, Nick.

It is a very pretty box indeed 😄 yes craftsmanship is extraordinary in Turkey for sure! I will look up the bronze work when I get a chance , you are very knowledgeable!!

It's lucky NZ customs didn't know it had tea and coffee in it 😆 Have you tried the coffee yet? I've heard Turkish coffee is really really strong.
@LeilaAtaya2 жыл бұрын
😂😂😂 yes NZ customs are very strict but I thing prepackaged and processed items are ok. I’ve heard some people getting huge fines for forgetting a banana in their bag when arriving to NZ. 😊

Unfortunately you can't get them anymore. It was a small local brand that doesn't operate these days.

Painting with coffee? OK I've never seen that before Leila, unfortunately I hate coffee lol but is this possible to do with oatly milk tea?.. then again I love my oatly tea thag much I would kick myself if I didn't drink every drop of it 😂

😄yes I’m a tea drinker myself but I love coffee scent. You can do it with really dark tea or anything that is staining I guess. ❤️
