I'm 4 yrs post cholecystectomy, I had a 90% gangrenous gallbladder, I have had a severely chronic distended abdomen and R U Q pain for a year, I have no insurance I pray it's not a cancerous issue from post cholecystectomy. 🙏

I think it is the composition of the gall stone (esp the content of bile salts a known carcinogen) rather than the amount of cholesterol that carries the risk. This would explain the very low risk(1%) of cancer in the presence of gall stones. Experimentally increasing the content of bile salts in gall stones should increase the risk. As the incidence of gallbladder cancer is quite low in the developed countries the role of neo-adjuvant chemotherapy isn’t explored.

The question being that major hepatectomy ( extended Rt ) practiced in the East for T4 disease has any positive impact on survival any role of neoadj chemo-radiation?

Why no treatment 4th stage galbladder cancer, my wife is in that stage

So sorry to hear that. Like it was said in the video, stage 4th means tumor cells are already spreading to other organs and travel around the body via blood. Surgery won't help because we won't be able to remove all of the tumor cells. Chemo or radiation therapy would possibly do more harm than good in this stage too

@@phongtran8499 she '(40) passed away before 3 weeks. She had completed 13 chemo therapy . Almost one year she suffered pain. At the bigging doctors unable to identified. they proscribed pain killer only. We were confused it may be back pain or gas problem.

@@kkarn9551 I have once seen a patient with perforated intestine as a consequence of radiation therapy. She had rectal cancer and the tumor started to spread around her body. After we removed the tumor, Radiation therapy followed up to support the surgery. She couldn’t eat anything and her body was only skin and bone. I can’t imagine how much she had to suffer.
