Mr. Galloway does make one point - look back more than 4 weeks. If you do, you will see: 1) Since 1948, mortors, artillary and rockets have been launched from lebanon into Israel. 2) the internationally recognized 1948 border with lebanon is the same as today. 3) Israel moved into lebanon in the 1980, to stop the launching of rockets into Israel 4) If the rockets stop then Israel will not have to use military action. 5) Why have there been no problems on the borders with Egypt and Jordan?

Speaking out against the "Government" of Israel doesn't necessarily make someone an anti-semite anymore than me speaking out against my own government (US) would make me a traitor or un-patriotic. Galloway speaks passionately because he feels that those "pretty good points" are truth and not necessarily based on anti-semitism.

i don't think he's lebanese, but from what i know and read in several places, the reason he is so passionate about lebanon is because he was part of some organisation (might have been UN) which was there in the civil war. he saw first hand the slaughter of people and wanted to do something about it which is why he is the way he is today. by the way, from other peoples accounts he is VERY well read, so anyone trying to argue fact against him is pretty much screwed.

Exactly. Hizbollah's missles are NOT laser guided, which means they are a true terror weapon. The fact Hezbollah rocket launchers were located in civillian homes, was specifically designed by Iran/Hezbollah to maximize civilian damage and casualties. Israel's laser guided bomb minimized the overall damage and casualty that may have occured had they responded to hezbollah in kind, i.e. with terror style unguided rockets.

I like to think I am a tolerant person. I have friends from many different faiths and beliefs. However, I think it's my responsibility to respond when I see lies and misquotes, and quotations taken out of context. M. Galloway is entitled to his opinion, and I am entitled to disagree. He wants us to have a memory longer than 4 weeks, and I do. I see excesses on both sides, but i've also seen Arab states reject Israel for over 50 years.
