NEW DELHI: On June 15, 2020, Indian and Chinese troops clashed in the Galwan Valley of Eastern Ladakh. Twenty Indian soldiers and an unspecified number of Chinese troops lost their lives in the first such incident involving the two armies along the Line of Actual Control in decades. The Chinese have acknowledged four deaths but reports suggest the casualties could be around 40. The incident brought about a host of military changes in the way India guards its northern frontier and also in India-China bilateral relations as StratNews Global Editor-in-Chief Nitin A. Gokhale explains in this episode of ‘Simply Nitin’.
