Galway hand in their phones!

The entire Galway Ladies Football panel are handing in their smartphones for the month of June. In return, they will receive a Nokia Text/Calls phone only.
Their aim is to raise 10,000 Euro for Pieta House West which provides a service, free of charge, to anyone affected by suicide or deliberate self-harm. More than 5,000 people walked through the Pieta doors in 2015.

Great initiative by the girls. Far too many people spend more time on their phone then they do talking to someone one to one. I often feel if you're talking with someone and they're on their phone on SC I often think you might as well be with the person you're on SC with then me. I recall even during my teenage years where I'd see people on facebook saying had a great day with this person and it made me feel really down as I felt I was nowhere near that with anyone. Spend more time talking to people in a room and not on your phone
