Hey do you know, since the 02 struts work in the front, would 02 rear struts work for the rear? I need to replace mine anyway. Thanks

how thick was the flat steel you used

I believe it was all 1/8. The margin of safety was ok for me, but others may have a different opinion.

@@reginaldtalley5100 Its a major liability to sell things like this - although it should be safe, I'm not willing to go down that road. They are pretty easy to make yourself with some bar stock and a drill,

very stupid question. why did you do it the most dangerous way possible. you do that no they sell lift kits that go on top of the struts.

1. It's not the most dangerous way possible if you know what you are expecting it to do; it has been done that way for years on subarus and other strut based vehicles without an issue when done properly. 2. adding a spacer to the top of the strut does not give you more room between the hub and the bottom of the spring bucket so you still wont be able to add bigger tires. 3. By adding a few degrees of camber in the lift brackets, you cut down on the amount of adjustment to align the car. Strut spacers usually put the camber too far out to adjust back in without out getting into a more sketchy situation

@@Drivewaybuilt yeah it's kind of ghetto. I think I'd rather buy the lift kits that go on the top. but if you're trying to fit bigger tires underneath the top hat I guess it works.

How about you figure it out for yourself? This was omitted on purpose. If I tell you exactly what I did as a how to, and you do it wrong and kill yourself, nothing is stopping your family from coming after me. Use your head, grab a tape measure and do it if that is what you want. If you cant figure out how I measured it out, you should probably put the grinder back on the shelf and move on. I make videos to show possibilities, I don't hold your hand step by step through a project.
