This game was my very first Mario game on the GBA, I looked at it on a very unusual store on one trip when I was 4 or 5 and got it and had so much fun. It made me love Mario, and Mario vs. Donkey kong solidified that Mario is badass and I love him so much after that.

Two things: One, the sound effect when Mario hits an enemy is eerily similar to the sound that plays when Sonic hits an enemy in the Master System and Game Gear versions of Sonic the Hedgehog. Two, was there any real tactical advantage to Mario allowing himself to be compressed into ball form? I mean, seriously; he could have just done things on foot. Sure, there wouldn't have been a Mario Pinball Land game if he hadn't been made into a ball but still....

I honestly really really liked this game. I remember being on a really long trip with my family and playing it for hours. It was super fun but super frustrating. I had never beat it but I beat like all of the bosses
