Can you please also do a tutorial on building a wireless controller for the GB Zero? I think that it would help out a lot, especially if you hook it up to a TV
@de4thre4p3r98 жыл бұрын
+Rhein-Maincrafter well i would say either bluetooth adapter (so play station controller can hook up to it) or use a gamepad with a wireless usb dongle. Plug it in to the usb port on the side and you are good to go.

Can you do an explaination of how to use the Backup camera screens, I bought the one you suggested on your site, but how should I modify it to get it to work with 5v and how I should connect it?
@Vitamin_Games8 жыл бұрын
I'm looking into making my own version of a Game Boy Pi and I was wondering if you had any suggestions for making it be able to output to the built-in screen as well as optionally able to output to a separate monitor. That way you could play it on a TV and then unhook it and play it on the go. Thanks in advance!
@wermy8 жыл бұрын
+Lime Studios Yep, it does that. :) I have the mini hdmi port lined up with what used to be the contrast wheel (you can see it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l37LhYCdea16l68 ). If you power it on with the hdmi connected, the video outputs to that in stead of the internal screen.

I've asked before and didn't get an answer, so I'll try again, what size gauge wire are you using? it looks like 24g.
@wermy8 жыл бұрын
+Derek Bamford I actually don't know offhand for this part. 24g sounds about right. I'm just using the wires that came with the screen. As for the breakout board, they are super thin wires that came out of an old IDE cable. You can use whatever comes with your screen for it, and as thin as possible for buttons.

Would a screen like this be possible?: www.dx.com/p/geekworm-3-5-high-speed-display-screen-tft-module-for-raspberry-pi-441223#.V8yPSJN96H4 The formfactor isn't right but it's digital and the resolution is a lot higher so if I can find the right formfactor this could be a very nice display. well the screen is 3.5 inches and the resolution is 640x480 and considering now small the screen iz it looks amazing. My tablet is 1280x800 and thats 11 inches so the gameboy has more pixels per inch making it look better than my tablet. Point made

Is there a way to display a RGB signal ?
@Nukle0n8 жыл бұрын
Josh - Even with tha resolution it's still a bad signal, you'll get a lot of noise, bad color, etc. Star Platinum - The Raspberry Pi Zero has HDMI out.
@starplatinumoraoraora8 жыл бұрын
Thanks, i can't deal with composite. It's ok when you know nothing else but we have higher standards nowadays. However i think a 320x240 screen would be more adapted for retro games, which are nearly all in 240p. Maybe it would look crisper with 3D games but i can't really tell.
