Hello everyone hopefully this tutorial wasn't too confusing lol. I just watched the video again and it still sounded kinda confusing just remember left is negative and right is positive on the X axis. Also planning on making a tutorial for 3D movement since that was suggested as well, so keep a look out for that if you need help with it! Also everyone in the comments I am sorry if I take long to respond to your comments or don't respond to them at all, the popularity of this channel has grew significantly and I will not be able to respond to everyone timely. But I highly suggest helping anyone that needs the help. You guys have been really awesome and supportive on my work, and I'm really motivated, thank you all! :D

You can fix the Left Joycon issue by putting the Joystick through a + - Inversion Nodon. The way + - Inversion works is that it outputs the opposite of what it receives. For example, if it receives an input of 1, it outputs -1.

Why not just use an inversion nodon rather than the calculator and constant for the left joycon?
@XenaticLuxo3 жыл бұрын
That’s what I was thinking
@Oribloop3 жыл бұрын
Yes the inversion nodon will save you an extra nodon. I totally forgot about inversion nodons when making this lol. But when I make a tutorial for 3D movement for two player games I will be using inversion nodons.
@Oribloop3 жыл бұрын
@@XenaticLuxo yeah totally forgot about those inversion nodons.

@@Oribloop I use inversion all the time because I am so used to my camera controls being inverted it was one of the first things I looked for when making a game.

Wow, this is pretty cool! I never would have thought to invert one of the joy cons!
@Oribloop3 жыл бұрын
Yeah it because the left joycon is like the opposite from the right. I'm glad you thought the video was cool!
@Nediakubes3 жыл бұрын
I made a game like this except 1 player and you can choose witch joy con or pro
@SuperXavi873 жыл бұрын
Btw you can set the player a controller number so the first and second controllers control the first and second player, but this probably only works for pro controllers.

How do I make the camera follow both players?
@Oribloop3 жыл бұрын
Actually I have thought about this. Attach the camera nodon to a block then attach the players to that block. The only problem I see with this is it will limit the players movements.
@LilyTheCuteKitty4323 жыл бұрын
@@Oribloop Hmmm... That could work! I'll try when I get the chance.
@joshualuigi2203 жыл бұрын
@@Oribloop You may be able to use the math nodons to calculate a mid-point and zoom the camera out based on the delta of the two positions.
@datsami0003 жыл бұрын
I think it'd be easier to use a + - inversion nodon. Have you considered that, or did it not work?
@Oribloop3 жыл бұрын
Yeah lol I totally forgot about the inversion nodon. Literally like 5 minutes after I posted the video a Reddit user was like...yeah just use inversion, and I felt so stupid lol. But its ok since I'm going to be making a 3D movement for this and I'll actually use inversion.
@Drachenbauer3 жыл бұрын
for 2D-Stuff better use the gamescreen-nodon instead of camera. So you always can exactly see in the game, what´s in the frame of the nodon in the editor.

You could’ve pressed the settings, and pressed on the controller number. It can be up to four players!
@joonboi843 жыл бұрын
Also note, you can assign all the normal buttons and assign to a second set of joycons (make it ONLY work for controller 2)
@Oribloop3 жыл бұрын
Yes this is true! There is actually surprisingly a lot of different ways you can map the joycons to suit two players. Thank you fore mentioning this!
