What a huge room! I know all that furniture cost a pretty penny and it looks so great when it is all white. My room is a hodge podge of pieces gathered from different rooms and collected over decades and now crammed into a single, smaller space, but I am content that I can still have a craft room after I downsized significantly. I genuinely feel happy for you to enjoy the luxury of what you have. It is beautiful.

An aesthetically pleasing space makes creativity soar! The room is beautiful. A crafters dream! For me there are obvious places where cheaper options can be made and used. Cheaper than $1.25 Dollar Tree items? It’s true. One cereal box or more sturdy cardboard box cut and using the natural corner in place of the clear plastic picture frames for example. One cereal box equals 4 of those. Leaving me $5 toward a better furniture piece! Just one small example! Having said that, I absolutely love your space! You, Courtney, are a master at your art! Thank you so much for sharing your fantastic space and for simply being YOU! Love you! Jen

This was perfect timing for me right now. We have actually just purchased another house which is much smaller than the one we’re in. We bought a house that is closer to my daughter’s family so we will be closer to the grandkids which is what life is really about.I am giving up a pretty large craft room. It’s 20 x 18 and I’m going to be going down to a small room I have so much stuff. I have a 5 x 5 workstation in the middle of the room with all the IKEA drawers underneath it. But then again I’ll be nearer to my grandkids! I love all your organization hacks! I have a few of those. Thank you Courtney, if you can downsize, so can I!💜

I have a small closet currently so I am limited so I just used existing clear shoe boxes and labeled them and then I used a gifted plastic photo box with the little boxes inside for most of my miscellaneous embellishments that I have yet to use labeled them and now I know what I have and where it is. I will get another one of the photo boxes after we move and decide how much room I have to use in the new house

I've been downsizing SIGNIFICANTLY over the past few months (each season or holiday tote(s) I've gotten out) & then at the beginning of the year during our big snowstorm, I decided it's time! I truly appreciate all the tips 💖. I moved a few years ago from a 4 bedroom, 1 & a half car attached, & 2 car detached garage that was souped up (craft storage heaven) to a small 1 bedroom duplex! Let your imagination take it from there & remember I've been crafting over 50 years! It bout took me out where I am now. I am not completely satisfied yet but it is MUCH better. I need to go through 1 more time & really "let go". The thing I'm having the most problem with is ribbon!!! Thank you for that awesome ribbon container, storage, idea thingy 💝! Sorry for the novel but know there are those of us who truly struggle with space & these videos REALLY HELP 💝.

I love your new room. I understand completely why you did it. I also went through all my craft supplies after Christmas and found way too many duplicates and items I didn’t need. I love the embellishment storage. I purchased my first one at the end of last year and I just purchased two additional ones. They are a game changer. I’m going to try the scrap storage idea you showed. 📁Thanks for all the great ideas.

This was so awesome, thank you for sharing. I copied you re: plastic photo storage containers for wood cutouts after 1 of your recent Christmas DIY’s - definitely 1 of the best storage decisions I’ve made - thank you! Definitely getting more! My craft space is small & I had to get to a point of opening my mind to accept that I might not be able to store certain items how or where I wanted. This gave me the freedom to explore other ways like devoting a craft cart to all my embellishments, another to papercrafting, etc. or not keeping like-things stored together which is usual my preference. Last tip: accept the inevitable: if your crafting, it’s going to get messy & reorganizing is probably going to be regular need - might as well have fun with it! 📎

I love an organized space. I feel like it is easier to create when things are in their place. Plus, you can see what you have, and you are more likely to use what's visible to you. Your space feels warm & inviting. I rap my ribbon around a cardboard ribbon holder and then hang them on my pegboard hooks. The ribbon is otherwise to bulky. 🐶

I have a small U-shaped office/craft room (~9’ X 11’) in our house. All of my cabinets & drawers were built in when we built our house 20 years ago. I have both counter height & desk height work spaces. The desk height areas have no cabinets underneath, so I can roll between areas when crafting. That being said… I’m constantly reorganizing my spaces! I think I have them perfectly suited to me, which works until it doesn’t, then I reorganize! Also,in the fall, when I bring my houseplants for the winter (we live in the Puget Sound area of Washington state), a large portion of one of the counters is crammed with plants! This is because we have a 1-1/2 YO cat that thinks my house plants are tasty… I can shut the door, so he doesn’t snack. I love your ideas & I’m going to make a trip to Home Goods this weekend to find some more organizational containers! Thanks, Courtney!

Courtney, loved all of the ideas. I have recently changed from a table with a sewing machine on one side and a dresser to one of the bedrooms. I hadn't thought of the picture holder for embellishments, don't have a ton of wood ones, but have a lot of other types. My craft room is a quilting/craft room, so still have the sewing machine but now it is on one wall and crafting is on another. My lighting stinks for the sewing area, now I need to check out your lights you use. Thank You for posting this wonderful video.

My favorite craft organization tip is putting the small wood embellishments in the photo storage boxes. ❤ that tip! Thank you for sharing so many great ideas. A hack I've used for both my paint and spices when I found I had a ton of duplicates. I mark the lid with a marker, sticker, or a piece of tape to indicate I have more of that specific item. This way I can store the "extra" items someplace else and not continue to purchase even move duplicates.

Oh my gosh ive been useing those photo boxes for my little embellishments for many years and i love them. I also bought a case of those clear storage boxes with the lids and handles, they are amazing. I took a bunch of ribbon off the spools rewrapped the could fit a ton of ribbon in them and did them by colors and seasons. Then the short ones i put larger embellishments in them by seasons. They really work fantastic! You can see everything in them, i also did them by seasons. They stack very nicely and work very well for me. Now i will be moving soon and am really purging my entire craftroom. I also have 2 large closets and a crawl space filled so i have a very large craft supply to go through. Ive been donating to the curch and they are thrilled. All the money from the thrift store they have goes back into the community and they sell every thing very reasonable. I have also donated to the schools and senior center. They are all very excited to recieve anything i give them. It saves them money and keeps them going. So i get it. I figured if i have had it for more then 2 years and havent used it them i not gonna. I didnt realize the i had as much as i do, i mean i know i have alot but didnt realize i had that much. So thanks for sharing your ideas with us. Have a fabulous weekend! Take care . Many blessings to you and yours 🙏❤️🥰❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏

Hi, I am so happy for you and your new craft room. Looks beautiful, comfy and inviting. I have a mess, and when I tell you a mess, I am not lying. I have been buying and buying craft supplies because I do exactly what you said. I start on one craft, leave it and the mess and start another. Right now I have three different piles of things I am trying to craft. I can't find anything in my craft room, so I go buy more. Not bright, I realize that. But, I am guilty of it. I did see on one of your other videos that photo box and you put your small wooden crafts items in it. I immediately bought three of them. They are all full with the smaller wooden craft items. I see you put small flowers and things in the one you showed today. I will be ordering more. 😂 I do love that system. It has saved me alot from going buy more of those small wooden items at DT. It seems like every time there was a new season or holiday, I would pick up all the little wooden craft items. Now, I am not doing that due to your system. I also bought the label maker you were using today. I have used it to label all the boxes in the photo box with the wooden items. LOVE THAT! A game changer. Since I don't have the bigger items in boxes, they are just everywhere, I haven't labeled them yet. I do thank you for showing us all your ideas and all your suggestions for craft supplies. Count me in when you do show us your items you use. I will be buying it, them, those......all of it. I think I found some more space in another room. 😂😂😂😂😂😂

I just got my craft corner organized in my livingroom and now my neurologist has put me on the crisis list to go into a nursing home bc he did tests 10 yrs ago and the results were put into my file but no one told me. I’ve been having trouble remember things. Big one is eating. I don’t get Hungary. I went back to him and he was going over my list of meds and he asked me what I was taking for my epilepsy? I told him I don’t have that one and he continued to tell me I was diagnosed with it 10 yrs ago. I was surprised and said well you never told me about it. I had proof bc my Sister came to all my appointments. I’m in a wheelchair and have a lot of autoimmune diseases. So he feels I’m not safe living on my own anymore. I will have a tiny corner in my bedroom I share with someone else. I hope I’ll be able to bring my jewelry supplies but it doesn’t look like I’ll be able to bring all my paper priducts, stamps stencils sewing machines and serger, uv resin, epoxy, knitting and crochet supplies, painting supplies and more. The more I think about it the more depressed I become. Any ideas for down sizing storage to a small area? Where would you start? 😿💝🥰
