What do you guys think about the stand on blower? It’s definitely a tank. We’ve already used it on a 3 acre site this morning, and it cut our time in half. Keep up with us on Instagram to see it in action real time! We’ll be posting more videos on it soon enough!

I got the z3000 hurricane this season. It basically cut all of my jobs in half. 200 leaf cleanups in 2 weeks. Normally takes us a month with 7 guys this did it with 4 guys in half the time. The machine is an ANIMAL!!
@alexs.25475 жыл бұрын
They should put a clutch on it then put a leaf plow attachment on it, eliminates to need for 2 machines. That would be sweet.

Hi Brian, I bought the x3 a few years back. Ended up selling it and buying the z3. Worth every penny. I am a owner operator. One thing I noticed in the video was the rep said it could blow out all 3 directions at the same time. This is not true, at least for the model I have. If you open the left and the want to switch to the right, you don't have to close the left. All you have to do is open the right and the left automatically closes and vise versa.
@connorhall33125 жыл бұрын
I own the X3 and it easily replaces 4 guys. Its great for pretty much any application. Its a hefty price tag for a blower but Ive already paid it off just in labor.

Hello Brian. I bought mine at the end of the season for fall cleanups. Quite frankly I should've gotten one of these a long time ago. Pricey? Yes but man I save 2 extra men and spent a quarter of the time doing ALL my properties. and the same goes for this year spring cleanups. I installed a thatcher on it and the people I got it are also building a snow plow which I am going to get at the end of the year. Great video Brian ...KEEP THEM COMING!!!! ....

I was 100% convinced the first 2 minutes that the guy in the grey was mike bedell. Looks like a cool unit but you need a lot of commercial cleanups to justify that machine in my opinion. It also depends if you bill by size of the lot or by man hr. If i bill $500 for a larger home and the customer is home they would rather see work being done for 2 hours with 3 guys vs 1 machine doing the work for an hour or two. I know it shouldn't matter because the machine is a huge investment but most don't look at it that way.

@progressfreight5 жыл бұрын
Good Blower. It really depends on the properties you clean up in the fall. Also think of it this way, if this blower eliminates 2 workers in the fall you eliminate your labors cost of $5000 per month. Then there is a cost for push blower $1250, you will need one. So in theory it can pay for itself in 1 season.

only thing i like about that machine is the use of all 3 flaps and the light. front tires are old school air tires, the rear tires are tiny with not a very wide stance and when it gets coldddd in the fall that thing will need to be jumped all the time cause theres no clutch its a direct drive.. ive done my research on the stand on blowers and the only thing that makes sense to me is the scag windstorm it has everything but a light lol plus who wants to load a blower in their inclosed trailer and take a bath in pine needles and leaves because theres no way to shut the fan off, it just dont make sense. i love your channel and you sold me on the v ride 2 so i will give the good and the bad on reviews i will probably put some money down on a windstorm next year because i bought a blower buggy for the v ride and man it has saved some time and paid for itself, for people who want a mobile blower thats also a good option for cheap money the blower buggy by jerco, only thing i hate about it is transporting it is a bitch and the zero turn wheels in the front dont always do what you want them to

@titanlawnlandscape77835 жыл бұрын
Great video Brian! $12,500 for a stand on blower is nuts. I could see cities and golf courses spending money on a unit like that but small contractors CAN NOT make money with that thing. Spending $12,500 to cut your time on blowing leaves doesn't make sense. Guys do leaf clean up for way to cheap now. They will only cut themselves in the foot even more with this unit. It's hard to justify $500 on backpack blowers at times. 4% of the gross revenue of my business goes back into capital expenditures. I would have to do $312,000 in work to justify that purchase.
@BriansLawnMaintenance5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing your opinion! It’s crazy tho, what you may not know is these are selling like hot cakes, and believe it or not, the owner operators are purchasing them just as much as the larger companies. We used it all day today, and I’ll politely disagree, it was insane how fast we finished a 5 acre clean up. Took us 2 hours, would’ve took us 4-5 easy. Not here to convince you. I just found it was an amazing unit even after a few hours of use. The guys that have them swear by them. For what it’s worth! Definitely deserves a demo to see if it makes sense for you, ha.
@titanlawnlandscape77835 жыл бұрын
@@BriansLawnMaintenance Thanks for the feedback. I could totally be wrong. I'm surprised smaller guys are spending the money on these. I can see why guys want them. It's a very cool piece of equipment. It makes clean ups easier. They are nice machines. I'm just trying to figure out the math behind charging to use this machine. Say it cuts your time in half. From 5 man hours to 2.5 man hours. That's saving you $46.00 in labor (roughly). It would take 666 man hours in savings to "pay" for the machine. That's 83 days of labor at 8 hours a day. Since fall and leaf clean ups are only for a month in the spring and a couple months in the fall do these smaller operators have the amount of work to get a pay back on the machine? I'm purely just looking at this from a financial return perspective. It's kind of like a "guy" that goes out and purchases a 60" mower to mow his own quarter acre lot. Or someone that buys a "diesel" to pull a 6,000 pound boat in the summer. The mower will cut the time in half mowing and the diesel will pull the boat better but does it make financial sense?
@connerbutler10775 жыл бұрын
Titan Lawn & Landscape when you do big $500-$1000 leaf clean ups daily it pays for its self fast.
@BriansLawnMaintenance5 жыл бұрын
I hear ya buddy. But what I’m realizing is, how many crazy large sites are potentially able to be done if you had a unit like this, that we’d maybe never touch other wise. Again, it’s all numbers driven, I feel ya. The older I get, the more I don’t mind slushing money into a unit like this just makes my life easier. Very rarely do we factor in the human element of fatigue and convenience. Just my .02!
@titanlawnlandscape77835 жыл бұрын
@@BriansLawnMaintenance That's a great point! If your business is established and you have the financials to support the purchase and it won't strap you then you can make it happen. My concern would be the guys getting started or just a few years in the business spending the money on a unit like this and potentially strapping themselves.
