There was a writer called "Sujata" in Shankar's team ...he was responsible for most of Shankar's hits. Excellent writer and screenplay director. He was the one who gave life to shankar's vision like jeans, robot, Anniyan, Indian 1, nayak, Kadhalan, boys, Mudhalvan, Shivaji the boss, gentlemen etc etc and so many more.His death is what cause the drop in Shankar's films' quality.. He passed away prior to robot 2.0..

@@sivarohitk8154 Brother I am actually feeling so much bad for the film makers now a days almost all of these big budget movies have a budget more than 200cr like it is nothing just a penny-worth money for them. Movies like Kanguva and Devara had a budget of 350cr which does not even comes to the quality of these movies like Yudhra was also a bad movie, but it had a budget of 50-60cr which felt better than kanguuva and devara in terms of everything even I felt like Surya and Jr. NTR were outperformed by Siddhant Chaturvedi. Just 2-3 years ago we had banger movies like KGF chapter 2, Pushpa 1, Drishyam 2 and Dangal with a budget of 100cr or even less. Kantara was made with a budget even less than 20cr and it is actually better than Game Changer. The only movie with the best use of money was Animal movie with a budget of 100cr and that movie was damn good in terms of quality it had good action scenes; a good-looking set, a good cast and some scenes were even shot in foreign. And Anurag Kashyap glazing Southern Industry like they only make gold and North Industry only make shit.

Something I have noticed recently in all big budget movies is that the lead actors (and most of the cast as well) give their heart out. But the directors and storywriters are not able to properly write a story that justifies the budget. They try the same age-old stories just on a larger scale and expect it to work, which is kind of sad. With budgets increasing, there was a possibility of movies similar to LoTR happening in India but no one wants to try experimenting.

The problem with Shankar is that, he has this attitude of 'whatever I make is the bomb' and keeps making the same screenplay that worked 25 years back! That is why a gripping storyline by Karthik Subbaraj also fails by Shankar's screenplay. What I feared watching Game Changer trailer became truth: director Shankar has become a telugu mass movie director. The difference is he takes several years to finish a mass movie, whereas telugu directors spends 1/2 year making one. Game Changer feels like Mersal, but without the magic. Even Indian 2 felt like a movie Balakrishna could have done. The blame is not only on Shankar but Karthick Subburaj for writing this story. This is a the kind of story that worked 25 years ago.

Is it just me who felt the game changer is way better than devara. Sure there are some moments but after the introduction of Anjali, the film was hooking and the flash back was flawless and after that it went so smoothly up until the final fight

At least one reference to ‘Tappeta Gullu’, a form of traditional dance form which was integrated into the movie seamlessly would have been good. Shankar as film maker alone has wasted close to 1800-2000 crores in last 10 years .I (200-250 cr), 2.0(650 cr),Indian 2 & 3( 400-450 cr) & gamechanger(close to 500cr). He should no longer be allowed to make big budgeted movies. He's turning out to be hell & curse for producers & slowly closing down the freedom for film makers in tamil cinema to dream big like tfi.

Prabhas every film is a pan india film. Pan india is all about releasing movies in maximum screens accross india. it has nothing to do with content. Prabhas movies release in 8000 screens in India. Total screens in india are around 10K screens. Thats pan india

I kinda feel sad for Shankar considering where he was and the direction he is taking now. He tried to cater to mass masala fans in Andhra Telengana and TN with the same formula even in 2025 and it's backfiring bigtime. Films like pushpa kgf are pushing producers into dropping big money for shitty monotonous stories just to propagate a mass hero and generate tons of money. Only Rajamouli knows how to consistently deliver movies and adapt to the audience with movies on a bigger scale still.
