Pretty slick install of the hydro pump on the trailer but were I you I would think about taking it by a local upholstery shop and having them make a heavy vinyl snap-on cover for that bad boy. If you don't it won't take long for it to match the underside of the trailer with mud and dirt blow-off from those back wheels. Brody will have to blow the carburetor right off that thing in order to get it clean and you know Dougo isn't going to get his hands dirty pulling on no filthy rope handle. Just thinkin'...

Yup when the lowboy trailer is up, the big holes near the bottom hinge are where transport lock pins go. So they lock the neck up vs. Hydraulics holding it.

The reason for the type of wheel on lo-boy trailer is strength. Budd style wheels are bad for cracking from lug to lug and tearing centers out of rims. Most all extra heavy duty applications will have the Dayton style hubs(what you have now)

21:53 Chet, if you did want to move the pony pump off the back of the trailer, find a spot on the semi tractor, perhaps on a couple if you use a couple with that trailer, and put a couple of hydraulic ports on the absolute rear end of the trailer. That with a pair of say 30’ lines to connect those rear ports to the pony pump on the semi tractor gets the semi out of the way of the loading zone, and gives you full use of the entire deck of the trailer should you need that at any point.

For the garage openers as far as i know there is basically old and new style of radios in them. My vehicles worked fine on my old one but when it failed the new replacement would not work with my old vehicles any longer. I also got some keychain ones for my motorcycle to have so when i was coming home i could reach to my keys and open the door as i was pulling up. There again i had to choose the right remotes for the new motor.

18:10 "get the air out of the hydraulic line - do you know?" With a pneumatic vacuum pump, that's how they do it in the factory on all brake systems. You would need to devise a way to hook the pump up to your line system tho.

I changed out a pull start motor a while back and replaced it with the Chinese knock off version. If you get the one that looks exactly like yours (I think its Loncin but might be Lifan) it is all good as the Chinese manufacturer used to make the Honda engine to the point you can buy the Honda parts and they fit exactly. I think Lifan make a copy that isn't as good tolerances but don't quote me on that. My one works really well and my fingers now do not get ripped off when it kicks back as its a 16hp engine! It was worth every penny and was about a third of the price of a Honda.

Love everything you do! But I'm pretty sure you want to build some sort of steel cage around that little motor/pump. The first time it gets tapped it will be a goner. Of course the cage won't save it from a big mistake. After a long day, it will happen! But it is a great idea adding the pump to the trailer.

Wheel seals, drums, brake shoes, bearings, tires. In the fall dougo will trade the old girl for an rgn and be done with the old crap. Those hubs are dayton and the lugs are shovel lugs. When the drums are inside the hubs they are called inboard mounted, when you have a hub pilot wheel and the drums are outside they are called outboard mounted.

On the planter, consider widening the 30” on-row centers to 32” between planter units #10&11 plus #14&15 to allow for the 30” track belt compacting right on the crop row. Plus, second thought - keep the 9X ready to go as a backup option, due to the known mechanical unreliability of 13.5L JD 9530T.

The hydraulic vale should have some time of markings on it. Some hydraulic systems are self bleeding. Might have had to loosen the line fittings. I am an ex Aircraft Mechanic and the hydraulic systems on each plane are different. For instance, on an F-4, if I was going to bleed the brakes, I would put the land gear handle in the up position. But remember, the Aircraft is on Jack's, gear cylinder locks in. Once you apply hydraulic pressure with the handle up, it is Appling hydraulic pressure to the brakes so the sp the tire quots spinning before retracted into the wheel we'll. A C-130, y p u could run the utility system hydraulics and just keep pumping them, then switch to the Auxiliary hydraulic system and do the same. That usually bleed the system. It might to actually be bleed to pass Antiskid operations. That is what doesn't alow you to loke up the brakes. But it appears that you guys figured it out on your own. In my business, I have Technical Data must us provided by the Manufacturer. We are issued a laptop to access this information and are required to follow it step by step. GOOD JOB GUYS

Now here's some great advice, grab a few of your favorite 5 gallon gasoline cans, and go to a small local airport and buy aviation gasoline, use that for all your small engines on the farm, such as this hydraulic pump engine sprayer transfer engines etc That aviation gas just doesn't go bad fast like gas station type pump gas does.

Would have built a platform and then mounted the engine to that after changing the configuration of the engine and mounted it under the front of the trailer. Shorter hydraulic lines and the motor is out of site out of mind. Before you say it’s easier said than done, I’ve done it several times in my dad’s shop. We even added a remote control that would both start the motor and actuate the hydraulics. There was still a manual valve just in case.

My thought with the hydro project is if you’re hooked up to the tractor what’s preventing the tractor from pushing the oil back through your stand alone pump and over flowing the reservoir? Is it just the valve on the trailer? Might need some shutoff or check valves?

Why does the wide stance kit not have dowel holes on the outside of the spacer? Typically dowel pins are used to carry some of the load, but now you are just relying on the bolts to hold/take all the force, which is now higher than from the factory due to the track being spaced out.
