Something you need to keep in mind when comparing Doug’s AI characters to AI in general is that he often includes prompts in the settings that make the AI more unstable or random. For example, in the Pajama Sam video he prompted the AI to be “very imaginative” which is why it would create random new characters or plots. He also told it to sometimes scream incoherently. If you keep the prompt relatively stable and coherent, the AI can be really convincing as a “person”. Especially if you have a decent language model for it to use. Funny enough, another time he tried doing a kid’s adventure game with the character Freddy Fish, he actually STRUGGLED to get the AI to go insane. No matter how he tried to get it to go crazy the AI kept staying coherent. It was during his most recent Rosa charity stream.

He explained it actually. The reason Sam got insane is temperature set a bit to high so he kept training himself to be more and more insane. And the reason Freddy the fish didn’t do that is because chat gpt got an update that fixed it. So it is literally impossible to recreate Sam anymore. Rip my boy Sam 17

At least we have the moments we originally had with him, who could forget "Babagaboosh!" or "BIG F!" or even revealing the existence of High Demon Elgrim. You are deeply underestimating modern ai's. For example neuro sama who i mentioned before, is almost human like. Atleast her new versions. She can have coherent conversations, gaslight, manipulate, play video games, sing. Not to mention she was originally trained on twitch chat, but became independent of twitch chat. So if twitch chat is to boring she can just invent twitch chat messages to make better content. And that's not even all she can do.

40:24 Back in ye olden days of 2015, Doug's channel was called Gloudas (just Douglas with the D and G swapped) and he used to make videos about Hearthstone. He did take a break from KZbin for about two years before coming back in 2018, changed his name to DougDoug, and started doing gaming challenges and explained with food videos.

For Bell Pepper, I have found out that the Green one is basically an unrippen Bell Pepper of another color (Usually Red), but the other Bell Pepers (Red, Yellow and Orange) are genetic variant of each others at full maturity, So Doug was technically right for the green one, and the question was misleading for the rest of the colors as they are different closely related plants.

Most ai models cannot download and do not download on the fly, most Ai you will see has "cutoff" dates, now that doesnt mean it cant USE online functions but its done through other means usually. I think you fundamentally dont understand how ai works and what a model having a certain number of billions of parameters mean.
