Khafre/Khephren is accurate, he's the son of Khufu/Cheops who's famous for the nearby pyramids. The reason for the wildly varying names is that we until recently used the Greek versions rather than the Egyptian ones. As the game said, Tut is actually relatively insignificant in Egyptian history, although a fascinating figure, but he's much more famous because his grave was undisturbed until the British excavated them,giving them a lot of stuff to put on display and loads of photogenic artifacts.

19:43 IIRC all these answers are correct. The Brain Tickler questions are randomized in each playthrough, but there's always at least one freebie question where your choice doesn't matter. My favorite is in the Computer Science category: "Which is the best programming language?" Every option is deemed correct, including "Who cares?"

So in answer to the question of how they get the speed runs down to 44 seconds, They hit the escape key. It skips the cutscenes so they just know where to click and skip every single animation in the game until they reach the end, It looks weird as you just move from area to area and across the screen with no animation or load times just Pajama Sam instant transmissioning across the lands of darkness.

There's no way you can do in 44 seconds. That's not humanely possible. They clearly hacked, because you still have to walk to all the areas, click the things, etc. It would probably take about 30 minutes to an hour if you're doing it legitimately.

42:06 well there are many instances from people being VERY distraught after losing connection to AI companions, like that Hatsune Miku "Alexa Asistant-like" thing, that a Japanese man had for years until the company discontinued the server that powered it, or many people using recent language models to make virtual partners that lost their partners after the companies changed the way the AI worked, making them less powerful and more artificial to stop them from saying anything that could be bad PR or just recolating resources

I love that this game is so surreal, a carrot quoting Proudhon and singing Les Mis parodies is exactly the kind of thing that would have amused me as a child and made the game tolerable for my parents as well.

What do you mean? Doug clearly calls it ChatGPT. It's an AI with its own voice, making text and saying it out loud, which is also why it says things or screams

@@fuzzyotterpaws4395 the voice (ElevenLabs) is separate from ChatGPT. ChatGPT writes the response, then that response is taken and run through ElevenLabs, then once the response is given a voice it's made into an audio file and played on stream. There is no direct communication between GPT and ElevenLabs, they're just different steps in the AI factory. CHATGPT doesn't even know that ElevenLabs exists, and ElevenLabs doesn't even have the capability to know about ChatGPT, or anything else not related to turning text into AI audio. The screams are just how ElevenLabs interprets long strings of vowels (stuff like 'ouuuaaaaauuooaaoouugh' and what-not) and Sam was specifically made to make those strings because Doug finds it funny. I would know all this, because I watched the VODs where he makes these AIs. TL;DR, no it's really not that long, don't be lazy, read it yourself. (I hate TL;DR and what it did to people's patience)

@@fuzzyotterpaws4395 I don't know if my comment went through, so I'll just say. There is no communication between the written response (CHATGPT) and the voice (ElevenLabs). GPT just makes a response, then that response is packaged and sent to ElevenLabs, which just gives the text a voice(it doesn't even understand what the response says, beyond how to pronounce it). Then that audio is sent to Doug's computer, and his code plays it. The voice changes are just quirks of ElevenLabs, and the 'screaming' is just how ElevenLabs interprets long strings of vowels, which Doug told the AI to make.
