My mom was an “old mom” (she was 40 when she had me), and she was def the cool mom. All my friends trusted her not to listen into our convos, she didn’t read my texts, she let me figure shit out while also realizing when I needed help (she “put me” in therapy for my eating disorder, which at the time I was PISSED about but now I’m 13 years in recovery and an eating disorder therapist so thanks mama). Myla will totally think you’re a cool mom soon. As someone who works with adolescents, they totally think they are the only “cool person” til about 15. ❤

A cool mom is a balance mom first than friend. Biggest issue is some moms want to just be friends with their kids and don't make boundaries they let their kid be entitled and give them whatever. I always tell my son's I'm a mom first than friend. I will have rules to follow, respect on both parts is major ect

I feel a cool mom is someone who makes their home the place to hangout and all the friends feel safe there and can be themselves around. Can come to the parent for advice knowing there will be no judgment. Plus they would always have great snacks or food. And drives people if they need it. But also levels with them, is blunt or just not gonna let the kids get away with whatever. But I’m pretty sure any kid is gonna deny their parent being cool. Lol

She actually doesn’t DO anything! Being a coach doesn’t make her a great model or mother. Posting her half naked body covered with tattoos on the internet doesn’t make her a “cool” mom. Being obsessed with makeup and name brand bags doesn’t make her a “cool” mom. Letting an eight year old child get fake nails and wear makeup is not “cool”. Feeding a child a consistent diet of junk food is kind of abusive👎🏻🙄😦😪😩

You could make a post asking retired cheerleaders if they have old uniforms they would like to donate back to the school and those could be a good throwback theme game night. A lot of schools do it. Also I have a page called cheer4kids and what I do is recycle old uniforms for teams in need by changing the logos.if your team has any uniforms we could greatly use them but normally for the throwback theme it's a lot of misc uniforms mixed together showing the different years

I would say it’s our job to try to be cool so our kids can cringe and tell us we are not ….. my partner used do try to be cool in the supermarket and my son would be mortified. My son is 32 now and says looking back he loves that we tried to make him laugh and his mates thought we were cool 😂😂

My mom was considered a "cool mom"! My friends loved her because she took care if us when my friends came over! Snacks or food, drinks, she let me smoke (that's not cool but it was cool as a young person). She was funny and outgoing. I feel like my friends parents didn't talk to them, because my friends would talk to my mom about anything and everything. She was very non judgemental. Especially because she'd been there and done that! I miss her. She passed at 49 due to alcoholism. She had Cirrhosis. ❤❤❤
