Nah, I doubt Monokuma was under any impression that Taka would kill, even if he was driven mad by grief. If anything, the motive was targeting Hiro and Celeste, both of whom are incredibly greedy and morally-loose. Both of them also happened to be the most distressed at being trapped in the school, so they were more likely to act rashly. Specifically, Monokuma likely hoped to incite Celeste to murder, as any murder committed by Hiro would likely be incredibly simple and boring to solve without outside interference. Celeste, on the other hand, is a natural at scheming, and Monokuma likely relished the idea of seeing her lose on her gamble for freedom.

The game also clearly said that he was dead by the time that they found him in the Repository, which isn’t true, because he spoke to them when they found him. Heck, it even says that he was dead by the time that the BDA played. This also isn’t true, as he spoke to them after the BDA played for him. Arin was upset at the inconsistency because it was completely unnecessary in the first place for them to make those claims.

i think it’s because with the leon on the wall there’s a pretty poor red herring with the whole 11037 thing, so it’s clear they’re trying to misdirect the player, but with the yasuhiro thing it would be waaay too obvious, the murderer is almost never the first suspect in mysteries

Arin really isn’t doing this game any favors. Maybe it’s the numerous times he takes away from any potential funnies to shit on the game or maybe it’s his inability to just go along with the zany weird anime murder plot, though it could also be the boring zelda voice acting he does for every girl character he voices. (Or that time he began an episode in hushed, tired tones just to over explain to us that he it was a bit and he, indeed, does enjoy this game to the point that it felt a bit sus and entirely forced)
