Hera seemed like a good idea seeing Yoshii's big army, but with the unrelenting raids, he was down to 25 vills, under 100 population and no resources. 2000 resources goes a long way and frankly wasn't worth the lightning storm and the couple of medusas in this game (at that point). Best bet was probably to keep military production up for a lot longer and reach full pop to secure gold mines, pump out vills, maybe get a town center, buy wood and get a decent farm transition.

3 dwarves style comes from Thor. It is possible to play classical vs green on 3 archaic dwarves, the challenge comes if u don't make enough early damage

agreed, however loosing an army for norse is often disastrous. simply don't fight then, why risk it.
