I remember Kasparov criticizing Dubovs plays some years ago during a world cup. He said something like :"I am not impressed by the games of Dubov". But today Dubov is the most exciting player out there!

This attack used to be my jam, until my opponents got good enough to play ...Nd7, ...Re8, and ... Nf8, which shuts the whole thing down. The Nf8 can then re-enter the game easily enough later. It all USED to be well-known, but these lines have fallen out of favor, so possibly Svane simply underestimated White's initiative.

I bet Black has options of counter play, but in this live situation is difficult to find an answer. One crucial point imho was to let the King run, instead sacrifice the queen for material. A king on the run in midgame, there is always an option for a check mate.

2800 soon no it doesn’t, it means someone who makes a lot of noise, attracts attention, makes a ruckus. Ce n’est pas la simple traduction du français. And even in French it isn’t necessarily pejorative, it’s actually more often used to compliment someone who isn’t doing things the conventional way.
