Yes, because honestly, a lot of the events or the thought behind the plot make sense, it's just the rushed pacing and sloppy details (such as fatal stabs for Arya/Jaime, that could have been easily replaced with painful, yet less damaging wounds) that make it messy and confusing. With added details to development, more dialoque and utilizing of characters abilities, it would be mostly good, given that you can't please such wide audience as a whole anyway.

And hasn’t been spoken about since, I thought they would at least bring the storyline a bit further with the night king, maybe someone else becoming one. It all just feels misplaced and definitely rushed now compared to how dragged out (in a good way) things were in previous seasons.

Yeah, but Varys helped Tyrion escape Kings landing knowing that Tyrion was completely innocent and wrongfully accused by his family. On the other hand, Varys was aware of the consequences of his betrayal to the queen. So why help him knowing he was plotting against Dany? Who they both swore an oath to.

They have to stay positive because they need the money, but lets ignore the bad writing, retcons, character plotlines destroyed, subverting expectations and rushing this season to the point that it doesn't make sense after all these years. All of this just to shock and surprise casual fans that call others "haters", "nerd rage" or "nOt thE tRuE fAnS" for pointing out those things... And let's ignore the dumb writing that the writers said after this episode and make up some stuff to make it look good. Like when Voss talked about Jaime leaving Brienne and he said it was a bummer, or the horse and relating it to Bran when the writers even said its only a representation of the pale horse of death.

The whole attack sequence gave me very strong Pompeii vibes throughout. Like the way the streets are shot, that one long main road flanked by buildings, the style of the architecture, the running people and the flames from above. Like a supernatural power raining fire and ash. Very creepy

After much deliberation and observation of each episode in detail, I've come to believe that Game of Thrones owes a great deal of it's success to the fantastic scores provided by Mr. Ramin Djawadi most of which has always been an Oscar-worthy. After all, we expect nothing short of perfection from the pupil of Master Zimmer. Sad even the masterpiece of Mr. Djawadi could save Season 8 and that is saying a lot.

I like the comparison of Drogon with nuclear weapons. However, the bombs released by the United States upon the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki -- both military industrial cities -- happened BEFORE the Empire of Japan had surrendered. Dany Targaryen unleashed Drogon AFTER the city had surrendered.

Bombs were dropped on the 6th and 8th of August and the empire of japan surrendered on the 12th.
