I used quite a lot in the end but can't say exactly how much. Roughly I would say about just over 250g of gum paste.

Hi - this reply is probably too late but hopefully you were using modelling paste or fondant mixed with Tylo or CMC to strengthen it?

Hi - roughly, it was about 14cm high and 10cm wide. To give you an idea of size, the cake drum it sits on is a 6" round. Hope this helps.
