The scene was really underwhelming and boring compared to the book. Stop praising what's IN the scene, think of what's NOT in it. Like why does Eddard Stark look so hale? He should be so weak and injured to be barely able to speak at first, he had to be held up by two men in the book. Not to mention he should be dirty as Arya at this point. And supposedly angry mob just throws one rock at him and stop all on their own even when no one ordered them to stop? At least the mob's burst of anger should take time before simmering down. In the book they threw so many they hit the men holding Eddard and guards came forward with shields to protect the royal family. Sansa's acting was tame. In the book she immediately collapsed to her knees and was wailing. Here she just gets the standard "guard holds her back" posture :P 80% of this "analysis" is just putting obvious descriptions to obvious simple, easy-to-understand shots. Just lengthens the video for no value.

I never understood the hatred for CGI. When CGI is done really well the viewer doesn't even notice, only when it's really bad does the viewer complain about it (which is understandable). It has made film making not only easier but essentially better because certain aspects/scenes of the show are simply impossible without it. We honestly take it for granted.

This scene is amazing, I think it’s one of the most powerful and emotional scenes in the series, even in the early days with lower budget it still carries through so powerfully

After all the horrible deaths in this show, every time i watch Ned’s, it still breaks my heart like the first time. Maybe because it was the first. Idk

I’ve just finished rewatching season 1 for the 3rd time and it’s amazing to watch back on it with context. Ned really was an honourable fool and in the end he caused untold damage to life of his family and the realm because he thought the world was black and white.

This was the perfect time to reveal Ned's final words But oh well
@Resanctify5 жыл бұрын
His last words were probably about Lyanna.

Laone Diseko the actor had mentioned in another interview that there was no direction for what to say. But he said he was praying in that scene.

Thank god someone finally noted the importance of that last baelor statue shot. Literally the only peace of mind Ned got in his final days in his last moments and no one seems to ever mention it when talking about the scene. I love that they at least gave him that.

The more complex and cgi-esque game of thrones got, the less of a soul it had.

You're so right. I think that's the case with any film production, really. Take the LOTR to the Hobbit for example.

I dont think so. Look at 'Watchers On The Wall' and 'Battle Of The Bastards' for example.

@@Sieiwhejwoeusbsb I don't think it's complaining. More like critical analysis.

Abraham Nah people complain pointlessly about CGI every time, it ain’t no “critical analysis” you just think you know better without knowing nothing at all, the hate for CGI is stupid

Can barely watch the scene even with it being interrupted and broken down. Such a powerful moment in the history of Television.
