Yeah I loved his interview after *that* scene aired, he said it was both uncomfortable and fun to do, because he met Maisie when she was like 11 or 12 (roughly) and he is 10 years older than her, but she is a young woman now and he won't be treating her as a child because she's not anymore, she's 22 now. That's a great way to address it. And I wish everyone would see it that way instead of repeating she's a child, nobody is a child forever, everyone grows up.

Gendry has no one to blame but his pride for the rejection, Arya's pride was in her family and her house but she wasn't stuck up ..she could have been ..... she was a lords daughter a high born. She treated everyone on merit. Gendry had an inferiority complex with Arya " you wouldn't be my family you'd be my lady ".... she offered him genuine friendship but he continually used her social class that she never recognised as a barrier between them. She still liked him but I think by the time he arrived in winterfell she had already given up on him as a love interest..... Gendry on the other hand saw Arya for the first time as a woman and when Arya presented him with the opportunity to sleep with her he jumped at it but even then he wouldn't have professed his love for her.... it was only when he was made lord of storms end that he proposed to her..... his pride worked against him..... Arya had by that time decided to follow her dreams.... she still cared about him but wasn't interested in becoming a wife. "It's not me"

Listen to what he says at 5:45-5:55 at that point he mentions that you don't see them for ages and then he kinda cut that off really fast and that little glimpse it was so subtle but I definitely caught it!!
