Randall's army not only betrayed Olenna, they betrayed Daenerys by murdering her ally. That's a personal offense. The Lannisters were already her enemies but now the Tarley house is a traitorous house. At this point, they have been defeated and seen her power. By giving them a choice she's giving them one last chance to rethink their positions. There is no way Daenerys could trust them unless they renewed Olenna's vow to her. That's what bending the knee means. It's not Daenerys' fault Randall refused. He expressed open hostility towards her, and that's not someone you want on your side. And Dickon made his own choice as well, stepping forward without being called and declaring his decision. Daenerys has solidified herself as the ALPHA, not to be trifled with.

The Tarlys didn't want to take the black, didn't want to bend the knee, and Danny is against keeping slaves/people in chains. Even if she imprisoned them their loyalty wouldn't change. So if she lets them go to regroup with Cersei she will have to face them in battle again later. What kind of leader would choose to allow hostile enemies to go free knowing they would come back to fight again? If you go to war like they willingly chose to do, they knowingly accepted the risk of death. Here is a comparison/example: The mad king lured the stark father and son under false pretenses to murder them without cause, escape, or options. Danny however faced her enemies in battle and they chose their fate. They directly told it to her face. Cersei killed all the people in the Sept with hidden trickery. She ordered babies killed. She orchestrated her husband's death. She has prisoners tortured. So how is Danny on that same level of brutality?

"She's got another Targeryean" yeah, that's really not what she's thinking. In truth Jon may be Targeryean by blood, but he's a Stark at heart, as well as in blood given his mother. Rheagar was already dead when Jon was born, and Daenrys is younger than Jon, meaning that she never knew him. They aren't really family in that respect, Jon already has a family with what's left of the Starks.

What did she achieve by burning them after capturing them? She's already won the battle, hold them hostages and have their men fight for you, just Like Robb should have done with Rickard Karstark. She doesn't have time or resources to waste on imprisoning people. She knows she will probably end up helping Jon and she can't afford to waste time on hostages. Burning them and using fear is the efficient way for now. If she continues like this once things are settled them it's different.

+MSA99 I agree, it's a good move strategically. Imprisoning would cost a great deal of resources. Having them fight for her is extremely cost effective. Your opponent loses army and you gain army. The next best economical action would be to just burn all of them. Cost effective, ruthless, and truly mad, however she went with the former and actually gave them a choice. If anything, there may be signs of madness but I think for now, that fact is negligible. I think her leadership is strong and her choices, although not very agreeable with everyone, is fair and most certainly not mad.
