Another season 4 banger. Those conversations in Tyrion's cell. Bronn actually getting emotional about someone for a moment. And Oberyn's slow-played declaration. If you watch season 4 knowing his motivation & direction, he's actually been pretty subtle and smart, waiting for the right moment. So perfect.

Hafthor Bjornsson was the third of three actors who played the Mountain. I don't know why the other two quit. Ironically, the third actor for the Mountain and the actor for the Hound are opposite of what their age relationship should be: Gregor's older and Sandor's younger, but as of this year Thor is 36 and Rory is 55.

Oberyn is such a great character. Very quickly became a fan favorite, and that interaction with Tyrion was pure gold. I understand that this "I will be your champion" scene was the very first scene he filmed when joining the cast... so that key moment was his introduction to his character. Also, I think that "The Adventures of Arya and The Hound" is one of my favorite storylines... they may be my favorite duo in the entire show.

I think Oberyn does not like Tyrion as a Lannister but strongly sympathizes with Tyrion the dwarf. There were similarities between Tyrion’s scenes and A Christmas Carol. In the latter, Scrooge is visited by three ghosts who represent certain aspects of time. Three warriors paid a visit to Tyrion. Jaime as his past, Bronn as his present, and Oberyn as his uncertain future.

It’s so weird, Amber, but my daughter who is now 34, never got along with her father who treated her so poorly when all she wanted was a father who loved her. (He is now deceased). We were married for 21 years and I divorced him when she was 18. Anyway, I’ve been with her stepfather for 13 years now and they always tease each other because she has so much more in common with him than her real father. She even has little characteristics like him! Lol! So when Little Finger says “you might have been my child” to Sansa, I always think of my daughter because she says “if only you’d met Ed earlier, he could have been my real father. I tell her that that’s not true because she wouldn’t be the beautiful, smart and talented young woman I know and love. She gets it now and has forgiven her real father who I’ll always love because of the two children he gave me but I’m also so thankful she loves Ed, my husband now, because he loves her and my son so much. I know some kids wish they had different parents but they wouldn’t be the people they are now without their biological parents. Great reaction! (Sorry this is so long!) Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson (the man that played the Mountain) is a beast of a man and on 2 May 2020 set the Guinness World Record for a deadlift of 501 kg (1,104.5 lb) which is he still holds & he is hoping to increase that record to 505 kg (1113.33 lb). Also he is a difference actor than the one we have seen playing the mountain so there is no reason you would have recognised him. Love your reactions & need more GoT reactions per week 🤣

I suspect a large part of the reason Ser Alliser hates "Lord Snow" so much is because Alliser Thorne was a loyalist during Robert's Rebellion, which is why he's in the Night's Watch now. Robert was somewhat gracious with his enemies after Aerys and Rhaegar fell, but he still punished some of them. Since Lord Stark was King Robert's ally in the rebellion against House Targaryen and Jon's uncle is now out of reach, Thorne's taking everything out on Jon.

@kev7161 dude when I first saw HBO it was a yes 1979 1980 and cable TV still had the boxes that were push-button rows and it was still attached to the television it wasn't a remote control as we know it today!! An HBO played like three movies and they repeated them and then they went off the air in the middle of the night like they didn't stay on 24 hours at first!! It was basically like a movie theater at home because they did like movie theaters did which is show the movie at let's say 10 and then one and then four and then 7 or whatever!! But now I understand perhaps what people mean but I don't think Amber interpreted it that way!!😮😁

You didn't realize that was the Mountain because I told you in Session 2 "Look at the Mountain, because they are going to change actors on you in the future." The original actor was tall and lanky with matted black hair. You might remember him as the man choosing who would die by Rat under bucket of Fire. Believe me, I was just as confused as you were on who that man was until them mentioned his man, Clegane.....The Hound's brother.
