Since I have not read the books, I am so glad to get a deeper insight into the History and Lore of the world of Game Of Thrones. Narrated by the characters themselves, this is going to be an interesting watch!

Princess Nymeria was the inspiration for Arya naming her direwolf as such. Nymeria’s story is beautiful, I hope HBO does a series off of her and her 10,000 ships.

There’s a GoT prequel in the works that tells the story of Oberyn’s ancestor Nymeria. It’s called Ten Thousand Ships. Can’t wait! Arya named her direwolf after her.

@Darkstar D&D did. Trying to write an unwritten sequel to GRRM's books. D&D are not HBO. What is already writen of Nymeria's story is enough to stimulate my imagination and make me dream of an amazing adaptation.

I like how folk lore is added into the mix, such as that wildling who is forever trapped in the Wall. I think that stuff like that contributes to creating a believable (of sorts) world. Thanks for another great reaction!

Oberyn poisoned Tywin before he died in the Trial by Combat. that's why Tywin is shitting his guts out (one of the named poison's in the Lore) in the privy when Tyrion finds him. Tywin was already a dead man in that moment.

​@@Igoorboy Yeah, it happens in the book. 1 of the poisons they highlight in the History & Lore, narrated by Oberyn is called 'widow's blood'. your body putrefies from the inside and you shit your guts out. (hence why he's found on the toilet, and has been in there a long time as Tyrion killed Shae) Tywin's body had a god awful smell emanating from his body at the funeral as a result of the poison. Oberyn went into the fight, knowing he may die, and took steps to insure he got some vengeance no matter the outcome.

When they talk of the Targaryen Civil War, the Dance of the Dragons, that is the subject of the upcoming HBO sequel series, "House of the Dragon." When Bronn spoke of the "Trial by Seven" and of the time a King got his head bashed in by his own brother, all for some Hedge Knight, the Hedge Knight he is speaking of is Ser Duncan the Tall, great grandfather of both Hodor and Brienne of Tarth. Ser Duncan was one of Westeros' most noble and true Knights, who eventually became Lord Commander of the King's Guard. And no one knew it at the time, but his young noble squire, Egg, would eventually become King Aegon Targaryen, Fifth of his Name. (Egg was Maester Aemon's little brother.) Brienne and Pod's story is a reflection of the tales of Dunk and Egg, which can be found in a collection called A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms. Yes, Arya named her Dire Wolf after Nymeria Martell. One mistake they made. They said the Targaryen ancestral Valerian steel sword, Dark Sister, was lost by Prince Aemon in a Rebellion, but that's not correct. Dark Sister was bestowed upon one of the bastard sons of Aegon the Unworthy, Lord Brynden Rivers, aka Lord Bloodraven. Bloodraven was eventually exiled to the wall by Aegon Fifth, (Egg from Dunk and Egg). Bloodraven traveled to the wall with his nephew, Maester Aemon. He served several years as a Ranger before being voted Lord Commander. Served several as Lord Commander before being lost beyond the Wall roughly 75 years before our story takes place. Lord Bloodraven is one of George's most interesting and intriguing characters, along with Oberyn Martell and Prince Daemon Targaryen, the Rogue Prince, (who we will see in the upcoming House of the Dragon). Bloodraven was also known as the King's Sorcerer, he had served as Master of Whisperers and Hand of the King to 2 different King's before being exiled by Egg.

Hold up, Nymeria was lucky she landed in Dorne as a female leader? Oberyn, her and her people made it that way by bringing their Rhoynish customs to Dorne! Don't take that away from her! Her and her people, and their descendants, changed an entire region for the better, getting rid of many bigoted and senseless Andal customs.

The next season is very... different to say the least. I personally didn't like it besides some very few good storyline. GOT change drasticly when GRRM wasn't involve.

Yep sadly you are right season 5 got so much wrong and wasn’t even close to capturing the book version of s5 removing most plot lines and cutting others in half or changing them drastically. But tbh s5-8 are of way lower quality then s1-4.
