So if Drogon is larger than Arrax, but younger, does that mean Drogon hasn't reached his full growth potential? I ask because in season 8 of GOT they left off with him just flying away, so I hope we get to see him again somewhere, bigger and badder in one of the new upcoming spinoff shows. I'm interested in the books though. Is there a specific one where you learn about the dragons, or are the peppered in placed throughout different books and you just have to follow the storylines?? The real question is *why* that is the case. He's *way* bigger than any version of a dragon in this setting which can be harmed by spears should be. (Caution, english is not my first lenguage) Im feeling like the show is starting to lose the things i liked about it (NO NOT CHARACTERS DYING FOR THE LOVE OF GOD IF YOU DIDNT GOT THAT SINCE THE BEGING PAY ATTENTION) VERY well writen characters with such an interesting personality that make them feel like real humans also in some weird way so much logic "X did Y because if you recall this happened and he mentioned something about that and etc". They claim that they are pro-woman but im thinking that they are pretty mediocre on the show, look at the wilding in episode 8, Hardhome, was pretty well writen (You can see how you can show a new character and make it really interesting with only 10 or less minutes on screen) and everything but then she is a women and had to die by children which is not that bad BUT she left her children alone! Oh yes and do you remember her great line about "fuck our ancestors they are dead. I dont like to rage like most people seem to do, but this season was really mediocre (im open to diferent opinions) they wanted to keep the "Hurr episode 9 hype" and most things were left to the last episodes, they could left the battle of Stannis vs the Boltons for the begining of the next season (imagine the Hype oh but they murder Stannis character) and about Sansa planing to escape of Winterfell. Yes GoT is known for something amaizing called building up but the most building up thing i can think about is the 4 talks about Greyscale in a row we had in the first 4 episodes. Its a good show, but is starting to decay, and well its starting to spoil me the books (i wouldn't care if they keept the things i liked), and of course there had to be changes, 5000 pages and as you go on you realize there is less and less fill its almost imposible, but i wish they could keep the awesome characters, even if they are in a diferent situation it could be interesting to see something diferent. Honesty im better at pointing out things when they are asking or when im debating so sorry.

Dany was powerful and shrewd, but fundamentally also compassionate. The ending of her story was totally out of character. There was no basis for it in her history. It was just foolishness. The writers couldn't figure out what to do with her. For some reason, they didn't want her to win The Game, and the writers just couldn't think of a solution.

It's like the other guy said, GRRM did tell the writers how it would end. I honestly think you're only of that opinion because of how quickly it happened. We were suppose to get 10 seasons, so 30 more hours of screen time after season 7. We got 6 hours in season 8. They squeezed 30 hours into 6 and had to wrap everything up, and pick any point in GoT 3 seasons ahead or behind and so much has happened. She was completely consumed with ruling and the Iron Throne and it was her demise, it just unfortunately happened in a snap of a finger and felt out of place because it happened so quick, but in my opinion I think it was sad, but the perfect ending for her character with how important the Throne is to everyone and how power corrupts. Just my 2 cents.

I understand why it ends like that for her. Dany has been ambitious about the throne since very start, just like any capitalist, she believes that it belongs to her and she needs to take it back. We understand that from her royal background and pov, but from common people pov, she is no different with any other capitalist. Good leader who really cares about people won't care whoever sit in the throne, they would focus in whoever capable as long as they could serve common people biggest needs and interest. Dany is not like that, no matter how powerful and inspirational she is. Also, when she decided to burn Kings Landing to the ground, she already noticed that no matter what she did, she would never be able to win heart of westeros people, she doesn't know how to deal with distrust, how to navigate politically with the nobles there.

You find her story arc acceptable- fine. Do not try to convince those of us who are paying attention that This character and the character in season 8 is the same person. The writers did not have to follow whatever GRRM told them; we’ve seen them make drastic changes that aren’t in the book already. Telling a good story is following the development of characters to the story’s organic end. Daenerys’ ending was about subversion and shock value. Nothing more.

This whole scene is a show thing. He was unharmed and strong in the book, flying around hunting with no problem. I think the show wants people to think just like you do and it's working.. lol A dragon, even a baby like Drogon, down and out because of a couple of spears? They didn't even penetrate far! What, a couple inches? Pffft. Drogon is not hurt, not like it seems here.

Captain Hero Ain't happening. She didn't walk THAT far. Drogon is still in the vicinity. They made Drogon seem hurt, but he's not THAT hurt. He's still in the vicinity and could roast every single one of those Dothraki from the air. In the books, he wasn't hurt at all and was right there next to Dany when the Dothraki rode up....I think Drogon will swoop in again, he can sense when Dany is in danger, and they'll know what's up... What the hell are they going to do? Kill HER off, too? Then what? Nobody else can control the dragons. Even that horn floating around wouldn't do it...only a Targaryen could use that thing without frying their insides, and there are only two possible Targaryens left...Dany and Jon.

***** Theirs a slight chance because Stannis is at Winterfell in the books laying siege and Shireen is back at the Wall with her Mother and Mel. The show-runners said last week that Martin told them he would sacrifice Shireen back at the wall in the books so it suggests that Stannis may survive the Battle as there's no way he would leave an ongoing siege. Perhaps he will take the black as he has no chance now of sitting on the Throne with no army and no heir. But I doubt it, I think they changed who kills Shireen to justify his death and not make the fanbase turn on Brienne especially as her argument that Renly was rightful King was complete nonsense.

I don't know if it's just me, but the Dothraki here don't seem to be violent towards Dany. They kind of seem happy they found her. I feel like perhaps they heard of what Drogo intended to do and perhaps want to pursue that cause, of sailing the narrow sea to Westeros. That's assuming they have been in search of her in the first place, which is hard to know.
