No, Jon is Rhaegar's son. Rhaegar was the firstborn of Aerys; when Aerys died, Rhaegar would succeed him. Since Rhaegar had a son, that son would be next in the line of succession. Dany has the proper claim until Jon is revealed as the son and heir to the Crown Prince, who was Dany's older brother.

Well obviously they were right because Cersei is listening? Also, Sansa and Arya's philosophies are completely different, so they would start to fight, wouldn't they?
@FrozenSpark127 жыл бұрын
I think they are doing this because they only have a few episodes left. It feels very rushed sometimes, decisions made too quickly and stuff... I don't really understand why they decided to end the show so quickly. Maybe it's because they caught up with the books and it's hard to write original content at this level?
@KateMich127 жыл бұрын
I'm glad Arya called Sansa out on her shit. She's exactly right about Sansa not wanting Jon to come back so she can remain in charge of Winterfell. Sansa has no love for Jon. She never has. And Arya's not going to let Sansa betray him nor will she allow Littlefinger to destroy House Stark any more than he already has.

I don't think Daenerys is acting too much like her father, the Mad King, by burning the Tarleys alive. Sure, it's a terrible thing to do, but why is she the only one expected to act honorably? Especially when everyone else is winning by acting as psychopathic and with as much brutality as they want. Why do the, "rules," only apply to one side?! In Tyrion's trial by combat in the Vale, Ser Vardis Egan fought more honorably than Bronn, and he lost. If he were more willing to do whatever it took to win, as opposed to doing whatever it took to, "follow the rules," maybe he could have actually been victorious. The same thing applies to everyone else. In fact, if there is an over-arching theme, that runs through the entire Game of Thrones series, it's that in this world, "honor," can only carry you so far. Eventually, if you want to survive, your honor has to take a back seat. And you've got to do whatever it takes to defeat your enemies before they defeat you. Besides, Tyrion didn't say a word about Gendry using his WarHammer on the Gold Cloaks. And actually reloaded the crossbow after shooting his own father. Daenerys killing enemy soldiers who refuse to submit after defeating them on the field is NOTHING like burning innocent men, women, and children in the streets of the Capital.

Everyone back then shitting on Sansa thinking she was going to betray Jon and her family and praising every other Stark for being "different" yet everyone forgot Bran has turned cold/zero feelings, Arya wanting to behead the lords at Winterfell for being indifferent about Jon decision's (let's not forget they all are scared of Dany and fear Jon's safety, they don't know Dany). Sansa is the best Stark regards to politics and a very smart one and Jon was absolutely right having her as Lady of Winterfell. If anything, she's the only one of all the Seven Kingdoms getting the North ready for the Long Night and we've seen her doing so these past two episodes. *Edit:* I'm not saying she is doing more than Jon. I'm saying she ha done more than every person ruling one of the Seven Kingdoms regards to the preparing the army well for winter, getting enough food for the people in the North, etc, etc keeping in mind that the Long Night is coming not doubting Jon or going back and forth if the White Walkers are real or not, she's just getting them ready without question. I love Arya, just not liking how she is falling into Littlefinger's game.

I wish this was still a 10 episode season. I generally like the storyline, but it seems way too rushed. It just feels like in earlier seasons we had much more interesting and nuanced character development and conversations. Scenes like Tyrion's speech on trial in season 4, or the conversation between him and Oberyn in the dungeon, Stannis telling Shireen how he cured her of grayscale, Jaime confessing to Brienne why he killed the Mad King... those were really emotional and some of my favourites. It seems like we rarely get that kind of scenes anymore. For example, the reunion between Jaime and Tyrion could've been so much better if they actually spent a little bit more time on it.
@switch19797 жыл бұрын

I agree with you. I imagined the reunion between Tyrion and Jaime was going to be so emotional and tense and was really looking forward to it. I was so disappointed after watching what they did, no feeling at all, everything so rushed. They barely discussed their father's dead, Tyrion's reasons for it, everything that's happened ever since they went separate ways, etc. And then Cersei finds out and she's so calm and ok with it. Unbeleivable!

Dave Reyez it wouldn't have been hard for that small group of men to travel as regular people it's not like they have pictures of them and none of them standing out like say the mountain, the hound, or Tyrion. They did make a big deal about Gendry going unnoticed by the Gold Cloaks along with Davos. By boat is certainly quicker but a dangerous expedition like that could've used some Winterfell men along with Ghost plus it would've ended any thought of rebellion against King Jon.

I was a little annoyed about Gendry not mentioning to Jon that he spent so much time with his little sister. And the Hound, Thoros and Beric. They hung out with and protected Arya for a while too, way back in seasons 2, 3, and 4. So many people have spent substantial amounts of time together, and then they don't talk about it later when they're hanging around with their siblings or other family members. It could be useful information, for Jon to learn that the main reason his youngest sister survived right after their father was killed was a direct result of the actions of at least three of the guys he's going north of the wall with. Even if it would only be a quick conversation, it would still be one I think the fans would have fun watching.

Why isn't anyone talking about the fact that Gendry was replicating Robert as the latter used a War hammer rather than a sword.

I'm loving every episode I've watched so far. It even feels like the episodes are flying by even though they are each almost an hour long. Where are all these people complaining about the show being bad coming from? Show goes too slow, does more build up you complain. Show cuts down the traveling time and gets straight to the action, you complain.

THAT MOMENT BETWEEN DROGON AND JON

Even though Jon has an actual claim to the throne now, doesn't mean he's gonna want the throne. He looks and sounds like he doesn't even want the responsibility of being king in the north. Everyone is getting their hopes up now like him and Dany are gonna take the throne together but it'll be completely out of character of him to all of a sudden embrace his targaryen side and go after the throne. He's 100 percent stark no matter what. He sounds and acts just like Ned Stark and his home will always be winterfell

I love how Jaime and Bronn magically get away from the ten thousand Dothraki and stroll home to King's Landing on foot. The show is still good. You just have to get a little drunk first, dull your sense of logic.

While this season's writing has been average at best, this episode made total sense in terms of plot. Cersei is in no position to deny the meeting, since her army is crippled and dragons could easily take down Euron's fleet. As to why she allowed the meeting between Tyrion and Jamie, it's obvious: she knows (doesn't take much to notice) that Tyrion is all that stands between her and three dragons burning down King's Landing. On the Arya side of the spectrum, it makes sense for Littlefinger to go for a desperate plan. He knows (or thinks) he can kill Bran if he wants, so the biggest threat to him right now is Arya and as great an assassin as she is, she can't beat an army by herself. His play would be to divide them and convince Sansa that she's dangerous, so as to have her arrested or killed. He also basically reduced it to a battle of wits between Arya and himself. Thing is, he doesn't really grasp either Bran's powers or the fact that Arya's a Faceless Man. A Man would be disappointed of A Girl, if She would be so easily outwitted. Doubt Littlefinger's plan will pan out, he'll either die next episode or on the last one. Either way, next episode offers an amazing set piece, which is all this season's about. (Sidenote: If Gilly took the book that validates Raeghar's marriage to Lyanna and they do find out Jon parentage, that could provide an out to Littlefinger and that would be a reason for him to escape death this season. Just speculation though, hope Gilly at least did bring the book)

Dany wants people in Westeros to love her like they did in Essos, yet she does nothing to earn that love. Instead she seems to think it is her due by virtue of her being...her. Not that what she did to the Tarly's wasn't rational, but obey me or die does not engender love or real loyalty. Those soldiers won't go from that battlefield talking about the Great Liberator here to save the land from the Lannisters; they will talk about how the Dragon Queen burned their Lord and his son alive. Time and again in Season 7 & 8 we see her frustration at the lack of reverence she receives (from people who don't even know her I might point out) and it is this conceitedness that she has that made me so dislike her in the last seasons.

What I think is going to happen: 1.Jon n company (unknown who survives) gets proof of wights 2.Cersei isn't pregnant she made that up to keep Jaimie on her side or even if she is she had sex with him on purpose coz she knows Jaimie is an emotional fool and will fight for his child against all odds 3.Cersei might not agree to a ceasefire n turns into mad queen not agreeing on anything May be that'll lead to VALONQUAR??!! God I hope so

I feel like Dany isn't acting like the mad king in her actions, she is being rational in her decision. It seems like what brings out the mad king in her is the lack of remorse after burning a father and son after they clearly showed an emotional connection. His father tried to save him, and Dany was honest and killed them. However it was how she reacted and simply moved on.

I'm a little confused on what little finger is planning even after the producer explained it.. is he actually trying to do something drastic or is he just trying to put arya and Sansa at opposite ends for whatever reasons
@jayanta1311907 жыл бұрын
Just putting the sisters at opposite ends, driving a wedge between them. Littlefinger s been doing this all his life. He told Catelyn that Tyrion set the assassin to kill Bran just so she would go and capture him and the Lannisters would kill Ned in turn
@Wenum327 жыл бұрын
Mitch Baxter Yes I think he is trying to put them at odds with eachother and also feeding arya false information or intentionally leading her in a direction. Arya is badass but she better step up her game when it comes to littlefinger.
@barkley82857 жыл бұрын
Mitch Baxter he wants to get Sansa with her and get arya out of the picture, and take Jon out and get Sansa in charge. That's why those lords are saying Sansa should be in charge because little finger is telling them to say that as we saw in the episode. He also has to deal with bran. Little does he know bran is probably know what his intentions are and arya is gonna kill him.
