I love the conversations between Baelish and Varys. Maybe the two smartest characters battling with words and wit and intellect

After finishing the full run of the show i went and started to read the books. Anybody who is thinking they spoiled the books by watching the show first hasn't got it right. Watching the show first acts as an amazing foundation for enjoying the books.
@salt28982 жыл бұрын
Yes! I can't even imagine trying to read the books without having the show. There are so many characters in the grand scheme of things, but having the knowledge from watching the show made reading things so much more enjoyable. Also was very cool to see how much is different especially in Feast and Dance.

I just finished the books yesterday. I totally agree with you. The show just made the experience way better for me

I can't imagine watching the show first. Luckily (as far as I'm concerned) I read the books first, and I have to say, from that perspective, the show fell way short of expectations in almost every respect. Although I understood why people coming to them fresh enjoyed them, even an incompetent adaption of those early ASOIAF books is still better than most things on TV.

Even tho it ended on a sour note no other show has come close in making me love as many diverse characters as GOT did. When the show ended I felt like I was saying goodbye to family

Idk why, but the green barrier reminds me of Defining Duke, and I can't get that outta my head haha. Though it is a bit distractingly bright.

At the next Moriarty family dinner, I would love for Dagan to look at Colin and ask "Can you hand me the mashed potatoes Winnie the Poo?" Then, just laugh at Colin try to explain the nickname to his family. Lol.

I love seasons 1-4 and the books. But it’s heartbreaking how bad Seasons 7 and 8 were and that the books will never finish. Hoping we at least get Winds of Winter

I know you guys gives us a whole of content already but maybe if you hit 1300 Patreons a Moriarty bros book club once a month would get everyone reading more. Btw biggest Kickstarter ever is now about books written by fantasy author and not human Brandon Sanderson.

I had the triple whammy of depression when I finished this season - not only had my girlfriend dumped me, but I also finished Mass Effect 3 and binged all of season 1 of GoT. All hope had left me during that time, haha.

I thought the new Batman was nothing like the Nolan movies. It was a slow burn, detective noir meets The Godfather type deal. It was fantastic imo. Still can’t decide if I think it’s better than The Dark Knight but it’s so much it’s own thing that they can stand together.

I live in Belfast and as you may or may not know it was filmed here actually down the road from me. We have g.o.t stuff everywhere stain glass mosaics all over the city and a studio tour. (I even have some arrows from the set😂) Absolutely loved this show until the last season which to me felt like a complete narrative cop out 😭 felt so let down by the creators for taking the easy way out.

I think in regards to the children in the show, their initial personalities probably don't make as much sense in the beginning, as they are aged up a bit for the show. Sansa is a selfish, petulant girl, but in the first book, she is only 11 years old. Arya is 9 and Bran is 7. I completely understand why they aged the characters, as I don't think anyone of us could have comfortably watched them go through the hell they did if they were kept at the original age.

I'm sorry Colin, I know you don't support the Bidet and hence don't use it, and now I'm hearing you go to bed with no underwear like Winnie the Pooh? I surely hope you wash your sheets often, or the Pooh part of the name would certainly be justified. I understand your reasoning but I can't stop thinking, and don't want to continue thinking, about the hygiene situation in your sheets. Haha 😂

Tolkien finished his story, unlike Martin who disrespects his fans and calls them entitled. So one is a legend, while the other is just a good writer.

I agree with Colin about The Batman. It’s fine, but I was underwhelmed. I like RP as Batman but can’t stand his Bruce Wayne. It’s cool that Bruce isn’t a playboy in this world but he was just such a brooding emo bitch in this film.
@pearlsoprano2872 жыл бұрын
I think it was emphasized by the fact he had to have the make up on with the black hair in his eyes. If he has his combed back hair that was brown, and especially if he didnt have the make up…. the silence wouldnt of been as “emo” as you think.

To each their own. I thought The Batman was better than all three Nolan Batman films (and Dark Knight used to be my favorite superhero film until Logan and The Batman).

One of the few times, maybe the first time, that I’ve ever disagreed with the boys! I truly thought this first season was one of the worst seasons of any show I have ever seen. It caused me to never watch beyond S1. The first episode alone took me 3 - 4 attempts to sit through. And this should be up my alley. I could not believe this was the show people were so crazy about. I found it to be so incredibly cheesy. Every episode not only looked cheap like a stage play, but it all felt over dramatically acted like a play, too. Every episode is a series of two people standing in an empty room with no extras or life to it. The drama felt low stakes and not engaging, and very little action. I liked Peter Dinklage’s character, and the unexpected window bit at the end of episode 1. That’s pretty much it. I’m crazy!
