Man, euphonium part on 0:16 is just crazy, it gives me chills everytime when i hear and even more when i play it, its just incredible, feels like, heroic, or something like that, you know?
@kokonutbeats34545 жыл бұрын
Listening to this reminds me of why I do music. I'm a horn player. In 9th grade, I picked up saxophone for about 4 months and I got really at it good somehow. But, listening to this reminds me of why I quit saxophone to stick with French horn. I really like the sound of the saxophone. It is unlike any other instrument and is in a class of it's own. Its sound is heavenly but when I hear good horn playing, I feel euphoric. To me, the horn is the most beautiful instrument. It can produce any emotion. Happiness, grief, sadness, or heroic. 3:30 is amazing. I've been playing French horn for about 5 years now and it is so rewarding. I've made the county orchestra, the high school symphonic band, middle school honor band, pit orchestra, middle school and wind ensemble. I have even won the outsanding band musican award apon graduating 9th grade, which is awarded to one 9th grader every year. No shame but I cried in happiness, remembering the sheer hours of practice that I grinded out. In middle school (grades 7-9), I made the honor band every year. I made second chair in seventh grade of the 6 that were inducted. I was the only seventh grader in the horn section, and yet I was sitting next to the section leader. The music was really hard for me though. I was used to playing really easy concert band music in regular band. The music was probably two grades above what I usually played. Nevertheless, I tried. I wanted to quit after the first rehearsal. My mom encouraged me to stick with it though. And so I did. I mastered the music with a few hours of practice. I was able to finish honor band with full mastery of the difficult music. I was later that year invited to join the wind ensemble in my middle school which mainly consisted of 9th graders. I didn't really want to do it, but again, my mom encouraged me to. I ended up doing it. I know now that if I had not listened to my mom, I would deeply regret it. I built a legacy apon myself by doing these things. In 9th grade, at the adjudication for wind ensemble, my 1 other section mate who was a seventh grader and I received a horn section award. In all three years of doing wind ensemble(I got in every year), not one horn section award was given out, except for that one that now stands proud in my middle school. It all comes down to hard work guys. We were a 2 player section, underdogs, but got the bread nevertheless. Remember what I am about to tell you... If you are a musician, please listen to what I am about to say: First, you have to find the instrument that is right for you. Don't pick the trumpet because your best friend did, or violin because everyone else did. Don't be afraid to be unique. From 6th grade to 9th grade (including), I was the only horn player in my grade. (There were many more in the other grades and throughout the district). But hell with it, your instrument is the instrument you love. You must take every opportunity that is given to you, and if not, create them. Make the other band members know your name. When honor band audition day comes around, and you have practiced the music for hours and mastered every atom of it, and you do your audition and the others hear your playing, walk out of the audition room, stare them in the eyes, and see the fear in theirs.

4:15 is hands down the BEST part. When you're a clarinetist playing the part before somewhat alone, and 4:15 happens when everyone comes in and pats you on the back, playing with their instruments: "I got you."

Since when dont they? Euphoniums, trombone, and Tenor Sax make up the meat of the sound. Euphonium is the lowest sounding of the 3 tho so it tends to have more important parts while bones tend to have lots of melodies. Tenor’s just kind of do our own thing tho with parts from all over.

@liamgreiner92225 жыл бұрын
Same! The roll on D at like 120 or so is out of my pitch and it's the one solo, kinda sucks. There is a lot to it which is nice, timpani does a fair bit. Edit: actually it's measure 158-9 but no one cares
@angrysquirrel88165 жыл бұрын
My only complaint with this is that the Tenor Sax and Bassoon didn't play out more at 2:43. I mean if your gonna be the only instruments playing that part at that time then you might as well play it out some. And then at 2:56 tenor is the only one playing it. so even more reason to push out, eh, these guys know what they are doing so I cant really complain about this
@tomeygonnet70366 жыл бұрын
I’m sorry but the Game of Thrones main theme arrangement by Frank Bernaert is for me better because of it is more majestic and powerful than this version. I especially appreciate the percussion part in the two versions however, as a percussionist.
@skadihuntress5 жыл бұрын
this is probably best suited to younger bands.
@BJP1973LEEDS4 жыл бұрын
I have listen both versions; this one and the one from Frank Benhaert. They both are excellent. However the Frank Benhaert’s arrangement is more captivating with some distinct percussions and the drums are far more powerful with a play of deep strong hit . The way I listened to it is through a sound bar system link to the tv on a volume 50/100. There one can perceive a huge difference. . Saying that I haven’t watched Game Of Thrones yet though I’ve got the entire series to the last &recent episode. Booo!!!
