“It hurts so much, she thought. Our children, Ned, all our sweet babes. Rickon, Bran, Arya, Sansa, Robb… Robb… please, Ned, please, make it stop, make it stop hurting… The white tears and the red ones ran together until her face was torn and tattered, the face that Ned had loved. Catelyn Stark raised her hands and watched the blood run down her long fingers, over her wrists, beneath the sleeves of her gown. Slow red worms crawled along her arms and under her clothes. It tickles. That made her laugh until she screamed. “Mad,” someone said, “she’s lost her wits,” and someone else said, “Make an end,” and a hand grabbed her scalp just as she’d done with Jinglebell, and she thought, No, don’t, don’t cut my hair, Ned loves my hair. Then the steel was at her throat, and its bite was red and cold."

I binged Game of Thrones during the summer with my sister who had already seen the show. She left before the red wedding and left me alone to suffer through it. When she came back she said "Now you know why I left." The funny thing was that I had put off watching Game of Thrones since it started and the internet spoiled most events like Ned Stark and Jon Snow's death and the "Hold the door!" scene. But no one ever talked about the red wedding. They merely mention the name "red wedding" and that's it. No one gave a single detail about it. Looking back on it now, it seems pretty obvious that no one spoiled it for me because no one wanted to talk about it.

Not for another couple of books at least, she's back to being whiny until winds of winter. Like Quarth level of whiny. (I miss storm of swords bad-ass Dany).
@starsimvidz11 жыл бұрын
Taylorwest626 the brilliance of the books are the fact that the characters are human. GRRM has said Dany's struggles in Mereen are meant to show how difficult ruling can be and to go against the stereotype that the good guy becomes the good king. And struggles do make the payoffs even greater, Hopefully she tears shit up in TWOW

I'm starting from the beginning again because this is the best tv show on television. I was going thru all The Red Wedding video's and just found yours @JeremyJahns. Omg you are hysterical, even though you're commenting on something so horrific. I had the same reacts as you. Now I have to watch your other ones & subscribe! Well done, you're my new favorite!

Jesus christ, jesus fucking Christ Just watched it. Man this might sound a bit sick but the saddest thing for me was when the dire wolf died. I'm still fucking sad that the starks are dead. :( I really want to see flitch from harry potter die. Does he die? I really want to see him die.
@rashkavar11 жыл бұрын
He's not dead yet. I'll avoid spoilers for the non-readers among us, but I'll just say that I was disappointed Joffrey and Margery's wedding wasn't in the same season. (Yes, book 3 is huge and deserves more than 10 episodes since there's so much non-trivial stuff in it (trivial being defined as "can be edited out without entirely breaking the plot"), but still, it'd be nice to see a season end on a high note for a change. Well, Season 4 should, if they make it "the rest of Storm of Swords" rather than wrapping up book 3 mid season and plunge into the chronologically challenged books 4 and 5.)

lol (to your reaction, though I understand it completely) I haven't read much of the series yet either, but Arya's still a contender. I HATED the red wedding, but I'm still rooting for the little she-wolf... and if she ends up dying, I'm team Daenerys then...

CDG My point is you're speaking to the crowd. What you just said? It's pointless to say outside your head. Its like saying that you dislike the holocaust.
@DoranGale10 жыл бұрын
Gary Sanders Well done, Sherlock, you've done it again. I'm not dim. I caught that, I just didn't bother commenting on it because it's so idiotic. Fine, it's "pointless to say outside my head" that I hated the Red Wedding. Now go say that to almost every person on KZbin who's posted a similar comment on a Red Wedding video (I hope you saved up your sick days and vacation time at work). YOUR comment is far more pointless than mine.

I had heard of the Red Wedding but I thought it had something to do with Tyrion marrying Sansa. I heard the band play the Lannister song and I held my breath till it was over, then immediatley after the credits started I remembered Jeramy made a video about the Red Wedding so i came here to process my feelings.

I’ve been rewatching GoT for the first time since the series finale. And man this scene hit me way harder this time. And the first time was already rough. G.R.R.M. truly is or at least was a masterful writer. I can’t think of many things that have affected me the way the Red Wedding has.

Well, it was wildly mortifying--I mean....the hell!? I was helplessly entranced, watching that scene. That's when I knew the series was hitting all the cords, because a story that doesn't frustrate or disgust you--in the sense it does because it's being ham handedly melodrammatic---but genuinely shocks you isn't a movie. It's a reality committed to film! That episode was brilliant because it was so merciless. It wrote a story and didn't spare its audience to do it. This is a show that respects the emotional resilience of its fans. All is not lost, though, friends. Spoilers: Arya said the words, the stark boys are fine and heading to where Jon is, and Sansa is with Tyrion, the safest person in King's Landng for the Starks: and the seven Gods never forget slaughtering guest under a host's roof. Filch is in for some thick shit come season four.

i hated the part where the pregnant woman gets stabbed in the stomach. that was just wrong. it's not even in the book and it's a book which opens with incest sex lol. ive read all 5 books. they are good, 2 massive cliff hangers at the end of book 5 and now we wait for 2 years till book 6 lol. BUT! as good as the tv series is. there are some thing's i don't agree with in it.

xyr3s Not only that,but the author manages to be fater then me,and that's is just not healthy for him,or for the fans that might suffer a mental break down if he dies before finishing this series

well,arya already shived the shit out of one of the Frey's. That was actually one of my favorite parts in that season; because despite her initial guile, when she lays into the back of that guy's neck she devolved into his clench-mouthed, spital-intensive rage. What she did was not the work of a practiced assassin, but that of a desperate and hopeless child. Someone trying to gain some sense of control over the world around her; some sense of moral function from the universe.
